I actually thought despite the fact that both teams had a lot of injured players causing them to have holes the game was pretty good.
I'm not shocked that the Cowboys played well but even as a fan I have to admit I had my doubts that they could be the giants considering the problems in the O-line with injury and guys at new positions. Early on it certainly hurt them but as the game went on and they got in synch they did keep guys off of Romo long enough to exploit the giants very depleted secondary.
Also establishing a running game early allowed them to get more one on one coverage in the secondary that allowed Oggletree especially to exploit.
You thought that game was good? That first half was awful. I stopped watching. I turned back towards the end of the 3rd quarter. It ended up being a good game towards the end, but that first half was a joke.
All that being said, who really gives a ####, I bet it got higher ratings than a World Series game. Football!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The game was good because it was fairly evenly matched and played. Both teams had a problem early but that might be more attributed to the defenses cracking down. For Dallas their slow start was primarly because of the O-line problems but once they kicked into gear there were big plays being made.
If they could have just skipped the first half it would have been a great game.
I felt that the Refs did quite well. I mean the calls they did blow happen with the regular refs all the time so to me the replacements weren't much of a story last night.
It was a good game for what it was. Football offenses are usually behind where defneses are to start the season and the first half epitomized that. The replacement refs weren't bad, but that mugging on Cruz in the end zone was inexcuseable. Hard to say if it affected the outcome of the game, but it was a terrible no-call. Generally, I am fairly dismissive of the first 3-4 weeks of the season, as teams are pretty much finding their groove. But I watch nonetheless. Love me some football. Oh and as a New Yorker....Dallas I hates them Cowboys.
1/6th of the Brothers Prob. '19-'20 Season: 15-13(8 events) 2 wins, 2nd XDPS PR 9-7, 7th SOC
I heard that the, "Hunny Boo-Boo" show had higher ratings than the season opener. What is this world coming to when, White Trash Escapades are greater than Football?

Isn't that a cable TV show? They were on the same night? I'm not a TV ratings expert, but doesn't seem like they can really be compared.
Can a cable show and national show be compared? I'm clueless. But looking up this rating stuff is fascinating. I know NFL crushes everything usually.
I don't know TV is TV to me whether cable or national prime time. People watch what interest them, but yea I see the link and there is no reference to anything cable wise. I read a article on yahoo that said "Hunny Boo Boo", was the highest watched TV show that Wednesday. I also read that, "the Walking Dead" is the most watched TV show of last season. Take that info as you will....

Yesterday, on the other hand, they really screwed up quite a few important calls. Sad, really.

I hear ya, I'm no expert myself hahaha. But from what I can tell it's different. Cable is a different monster than national TV.
I dunno, either way - Hunny Boo Boo = what's wrong with society?!

Yea. Time to get it figured out. They have to have the normal refs in week 2. I bet they have it done by Wednesday. Hell if they are as smart as they think it will get done by tonight's game. But the NFL head people seem rather arrogant too.
