DC HeroClix Batman: Sasha Bourdeaux and the Black Queen!
And welcome as we continue to explore the upcoming DC HeroClix: Batman set. Today we look at a former bodyguard of Bruce Wayne, partner to the Caped Crusader, and the eventual OMAC powered Black Queen of Checkmate, Sasha Bordeaux!
We see a Prime figure and the numbering is like the SI Skrulls. That Black Queen has some nice options.
Yeah. Said it in the other thread, but:
It seems to be how they're implementing the Prime mechanic. Both known Prime figures were part B of an A/B combo, which, (aside from the Flock of Bats) has been the only previewed use of the A/B combo.

... so I'm unfamiliar with Sasha and her development into the Black Queen, but the Black Queen is obviously more powerful than Iron Man (admittedly in a different universe)...
Does she prevent opposing Wildcards from copying an opposing TA?
Does she gain that TA herself (albeit an uncopyable version)?
That appears to be correct, except for her gaining it. Definitely an interesting trait! I still barely understand this A/B thing. Is it like the skrulls from SI?
I'll be fielding Black Queen a LOT. Hella options there, and wildcard + PD is way too good to pass up.
If she wildcards to Hydra, can she stack that bonus on top of PD's?
This makes up for Monday's milquetoast preview piece.
You know what is tremendously boring ?
Having a preview that tells us what is actually on the dial, (when we can just look at it on the image) and no informations on what those "a" and "b" dials are...
Do anyone knows ?
Odd that they didn't make the bodyguard version blonde, like in the comic. Oh well. The numbers seem a bit high for the character, but some very nice powers.
Sasha is practically perfect. (That defend SP could have been just plain defend. Fewer unnecessary SPs= more perfect.)
Black Queen looks fantastic too, but perhaps a bit too powerful for her capabilities in the comics? Not going to make a lot of fuss about that, though, because I haven't read much Checkmate.
"A Jester unemployed is nobody's fool." - The Court Jester "And so he says, I don't like the cut of your jib, and I go, I says it's the only jib I got, baby!
I really like Sasha, her Bodyguard mechanic should provide a TON of mobility for Sasha!
I see the Black Queen as another "silver bullet" this time designed to weaken a Wild-Card abuse team. If you do not face such a team, she is not going to be able to pull her weight at 135-pts.
Bat-Phreak: Really? I see an incredibly versatile dial, with lots of support ability, great TAs, Indomitable and Regeneration to keep her in the fight, Stealth and a strong defensive trait to keep her safe, and consistent, good values all dial down.
