Over the past few weeks we've been asking what improvements you, the HCRealms user, would like to see. We've managed to implement a few of these, while we are looking at the rest.
The first set of changes is in the Units search. You may now search by the number of ranged combat attacks. You can also limit all searches by the Universe (DC or Marvel for right now). These were a very common request, and Typhon and I are happy we could get them to you faster.
Another change was actually to replace a link that was lost during the upgrade to the interface. Along the top bar an "Advanced Search" is now available. Clicking this link will take you to the older forum search which enables you to search with more details.
We have seen the other requested features and are looking into implenting those that we can.

Um, looks like there's a problem with the # of ranged attack search. Several are not showing up: ie V Boomerang does not show for a >2 search.

But the idea is great and a happy addition at that.


Edit: Upon further review, it appears none of the IC figs show under this search.

But the EDIT function is back baby!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

How about Search by team instead of Limit Seach by team,
right now if I want to view all Shield I have to put in a value of 1 for the speed (or something similar) and then select the team.

Definitely an amazing site, the one site I check every day. And therein lies my single complaint - HCrealms content. I loved it when you were giving us a sneak peek every week or an interview or something - the last couple of weeks have been pretty empty. The patrons fill the folders, but I'm talking content from you guys yourselves. Not that Im complaining too much - this is still the greatest site out there and I know there's been a lot of work on the inner workings of the site lately - but how about some Cosmic Justice peeks or interviews with someone or something? Thanks!

This is fixed.

It's actually suppose to work like this. Teams, Universe, Costs are all "limiters", you define a search and then limit it by those values. It's a bit odd, I realize, and might get changed in a future version, but for right now, that's it . Searching on a speed of 1 always shows everything btw, so it's a good way to start off a search using the limiters!

I've lost the "Edit" link on all my posts. Did it vanish in the "upgrade"?

yes cause people were writing bad things then eraseing them before the mods had a chance to serve warnings n stuff

I really preferred the edit button, it made my trade thread so much easier to update.

That and horrid typos can be fixed...

There is still the issue of multiple notification e-mails being sent each time a subscribed thread is replied to. I had 115 e-mails in my in box today. I like the notification but it gets tiresome having to delete all the duplicate e-mails, especially with a dial up connection.

What?!?! Please tell me that you aren't serious! The "edit" thing is just a glitch, right? Does anyone realize how much of a pain in the rear it's going to be on the trading forum when you need to do an update? That means that every person is going to have to look through each post to see if something has been added or removed rather than look at the top of the thread! Please say it ain't so!

If it's an issue of the mods not being able to keep up (as drgnof tyr suggests) then maybe they need more mods.

Hopefully, it's just a temporary situation and it will be back soon and all my ranting will be for nothing. Of all the changes made lately, this would be enough to send me back to wizkids' forum (*shudder*).

Here's a few mistakes currently on the units section...


Fred Myers LE has 3 Range Arrows, but the units section only shows 1 Arrow.

Experienced Psylocke is only 39 points, but the units section shows 42 points.
