Love his special in damage. I just wonder if works on all team abilites.
Works on some TAs, not all. Couldn't counter Power Cosmic/Quintessence because it lets you counter TAs as if they were powers, and those TAs specifically stop you from countering that characters powers.
Win/Loss: 1-3 Owlman is an interesting piece to say the least. He has real pros and real cons. We'll start with the pros - Owlman is a board control piece. He is great at countering and stopping opposing figures without dealing any damage to them. Outsiders stops all modifications (ES/D, CCE, +2 to all stats, etc), then you add his Special Outwit stopping teams relying on their TA's in their tracks (keeping Batman safe from Ultimates, stealth busting, Skrull SC, F4 healing, JSA shared defenses, etc) and then the novel -1 to adjacent opposing defenses (assuming he DIDN'T Outsider whammy them already) and Owlman makes your team better for a modest 74 points. He has cons, though - below average attack values, top-loaded design, 0-range, and worst of all - damage value of 1. Still, all in all, if you can protect him, Owlman will really drive an opposing team mad, which gives him a great role as a master planner. Probably best suited for 400+ point games, Roy Raymond, Jr. or Owlman as I call him (glued a repainted CD Owlman sculpt on) can be a great addition to your team and will provide practice to newer players as they try and learn the nuances of the game.

Visible Dials and Pushing Damage need to be optional. This is the way.
Outsiders TA prevent combat values from being modified. Damage is a combat value and the tank turrets +3 is a modifier so Outsiders prevents the +3 damage. +x is a modifier so outsiders shuts down ES/D, CR, Enhancement and similar but it would not affect running shot, charge, B/C/F because those are all REPLACEMENT values. To understand Outsiders just remember replace then modify...anything in the modify portion is prevented by Outsiders.
In the future asking this in the rules question forum would be quicker and more appropriate.
I finally realized who this was...owlman! Ok...I'm more interested in this guy and already thought he was great! lol
Still not clear on this power. If you counter a team ability do you have to have line of sight to all the characters that would be countered or just one for all of them to be affected. For example, if I want to counter the Batman team ability of an opponent's team do I have to have line of sight/fire on all of his team to be affected or just one of his characters. If I counter the Batman team ability on one character, do all of the others that are in stealth lose their Batman team ability?

first answer. You dont need line of sight for him to outwit the batman ta
second answer. yes it doesn't say you have to see all of the figs with the same ta to turn it off.
Im still confused as to how he does not need to have line of sight in order to counter team ability. I understand the part about not needing to see all of the opposing characters, but for the initial use of outwit to counter the the first TA, the one which would take away the TA for the rest of the team, i would think he would still need to have line of sight and be within 10 squares. Helluva Detective says he can use outwit normally or use it (outwit) to counter a TA and all those who use said TA. The wording in the special ability does not seem to change the properties of outwit, except for the fact that a TA is being outwitted. If he does not need line of sight to outwit the TA does that mean he can outwit someone using the Batman TA while they are in stealth or anybody who is using a team ability who is in stealt? Or even while just sitting in his starting area, he calls out a TA, the TA is then countered, an then let the rest of his team take out the opposing force?
