So I have gone out of my way to acquire the figures for a Dark Avengers theme team and now I just need help with the build. I have Iron Patriot, Noh-Varr, Bullseye (as Hawkeye), Venom (as Spiderman), Daken (as Wolverine), Ares, and Sentry. I'd rather not use Sentry as it pushes the build total up and I would like to have a 300, 500/600 build ready for the next event I can use it in. If there's a piece that I didn't list, I'm up for suggestions (as long as it isn't LE Con Moonstone as I'm not shelling out the money for her). Thanks in advance for any help.

is it the Mac Venom from HoT, or the LE from the WoS set?

I have both but HoT doesn't have Dark Avengers like the LE does so I'm limited to the LE which is good but not quite as good as the HoT Mac.

Thanks I'll definitely be taking this under extreme advisement for my upcoming events. I went through and checked again and discovered that the promoted G. Goblin from M10 also has the keyword would that help anyone as well (I do have that figure too)?

Keywords be damned! It's the same character and the dial represents the character at the time. If your friends and/or judge won't let you use the HoT Venom in a Dark Avengers team, they're a bunch of jerks. Not to say the WoS (Mac) Venom isn't good (I like the dial I see in the unit section quite a bit), but I've never played with him.


However, if they won't let it slide, just use the WoS LE Venom. They're only 3 points off from each other, so it should effect your team build too much.

BTW I'm hella jellious. I've been drooling over that LE Daken in the unit section forever. I can't find anyone who'll trade him.


Here's my idea for a nice simple build total.

• ws039 Iron Patriot - 150
• ws104 Daken - 72
• ha038 Venom/ws101 Venom - 73/70
• Total - 295/292

A fun 3 character 300 point team. It doesn't matter which Venom you end up using because ether way, you end up with a almost 300 point team that can kick some ###. Normal can be your ranged fighter using Leadership to pull off tokens and Outwitting... Daken can deal out close combat damage and heal up over and over and over and no matter which Venom you use, you can use him as a close combat harasser... though I'd rather push the LE to use the webbing power (though click 4 is BRUTAL for close combat).
