I saw the movie last night which was really awesome but in the movie LDS had Regeneration. Did director Bryan Singer give her that just to make the script workable or is she really supposed to have regen?
I'm not to up on the character, but as far as I know, she was given regen on the screen only.....more dramatic i guess, or to show a deeper link between the two....I dunno....
Heck, Deathstrike wasn't even a mutant. Obviously things change from comic to movie. No way was deathstrike a gov test subject Like Wolvie either. She underwent her stransformation to get at wolverine and avenge the theft of her fathers adamantium bonding process
Whereas, in the movie, she not only had no lines, she was even more of a "mysterious origin" than Logan. Apparantly Stryker had something to do with Wolvie, yet found Deathstrike a complete surprise when he discovered her.
Another good day at work. All the computers up and running. All employees happy and ready for tomorrow. All customers satisfied. All pigs fed and ready to fly."

I think he was amazed just to find someone with a similiar healing factor.
When Wolverine reaches the admantium tank area all the xray's on the wall were Deathstrikes bones, most likely. One of the xray's showed a hand with bladed fingers.

A rival villian? Why not use, I don't know, SABERTOOTH then? LD was an okay character comicwise. I would much rather see Wolverine's and Sabertooth's blood-feud. But Singer screwed that over when Wolverine didn't know him from the first movie.... bleh....

HEH, how about we push for a Widdle Wade x Wolverine scene in X3? ;P
Yeah, Lady Deathstrike in the comics was certainly not in any way shape or form related to Department H ( that gave Wolvie his Adamantium).
Also, in the movie you do notice that Stryker does also use his 'mind control' liquid on the back of her neck as well when she starts to break free from her control a bit.
I saw the movie last night and I was very pleased with it, regardless of the changes to her character.
Not up on my xmen lore, but I believe that originally the reavers made deathstrike into a cyborg like themselves. She may have undergone further treatments by spiral or Mojo like it says above, but I believe this was the first.
I'm just pleased that my switching her and a Vet Logan's bases give me a totally valid reason other than personal bias and admited fanboi-isum for her to have regenrate.
"Lady Deathstrike never regenerated in the comics! what are you doing! OMG OMG!"
"Ahh but I have the special 'Movie Promo' Deathsrtike"
(just kidding of course i tell everyone its a Vet Logan)
