Since I started the Amazing Spider-Man 700 Spoiler thread discussion, felt I should start with Superior Spider-Man.
Apparently there's a "twist" at the end of issue 1. At the end:
Spoiler (Click in box to read)
It turns out a fragment of Peter Parker's soul/consciousness is still lingering, holding back Spidey Doc Ock [or... SpOck?] from killing Boomerang. So Parker is going to try to find a way back.
Also, Dan Slott tweeted this morning that there's going to be another major spoiler/twist or whatever in Superior Spider-Man #9.
Is this enough to keep anyone interested in continuing the series?
I run HeroClix tournaments at Shuffle and Cut in La Habra, California. The format of each tournament will be posted here.
I really want the "endgame" of this series to be that Doc Ock lets himself go, and Peter regains control only to find that he's stuck in the body of a flabby 60-year-old.

So that explains Earth X Spider-Man...

Actually makes me less interested. I would have hoped that #700 would have been a clean break (at least for a while, we all know Pete's going to come back).
It actually reminds me of how I was less interested in Shadowland after learning that Murdock was possessed. It stopped being about a man making hard moral decisions that were against his nature for the greater good and became about people punching evil.
I loved the first issue. It had a bunch of classic villains with a ton of action.

I thought it was hilarious when he ran away from the Sinister Six. I also like that he uses all sorts of gadgets.
Someone mentioned in the Spider-man 700 thread that it would be sweet if a piece of parkers mind was still hanging around to try and take back his body. They called it.

#### Suckerior Spider-Ock and everything associated with it.
May all your hits be crits!
