Secret Society of Super-Villains. It's nice cause they give us one of those like every 5 sets. Eventually we can make a team. Joking aside, I have a pretty dirty golden age SSSV team. With Clayface there Psycho-Pirate's job will be much easier.
Far as I'm aware he wasn't actually part of the SSOSV; he was part of the proposal for the original '70s title but was written out before it ever went to print. He did show up as a member of both the Luthor & Libra Societies, though. Either way he can use the ATA, and isn't that the most important thing? He'll wind up on plenty of Arkham and Bat Enemy teams given his immense tie-up potential. Super Strength would've been nice, but a Suit of Sorrows, Crimson Gem, or just a dedicated Perplexer for his damage help fill him out.
Cool piece, neat powers, but yeah: he should have Society instead of SSoSV since that's what Libra and Luthor have. Would have made him more useful, especially in modern age where Society is actually kinda playable at the moment. Oh well.

just to clarify:
is SSSV different from just "the society" ?
meaning Clayface doesn't get to use the ATA?
Confusing, because clicking the SSSV keyword shows the ATA on the results.
One of the best things about Clayface is that everything on his dial is worth Outwitting. Give him the Society ATA, and your opponent will have to put up with annoying d6 rolls for Plasticity, Shape Change, Suction, Impervious, and the ATA. Personally, I'm very disappointed with his lack of improved movement. Clayface shouldn't be slowed down by characters or hindering terrain; the guy can't be grabbed and literally moves through matter. The speed power is nice, but unless your opponent has plasticity, or half a dozen characters with probability control, he is not going to attempt break away from a character with Plasticity. Lack of any Stealth, B/C/F, Super Strength, Exploit Weakness, or Regeneration are rather disappointing. He seems fairly pushable, but I WISH he was Indomitable.
This dial is full of character and looks like a lot of fun to play. Clayface is one of my favorite Batman villians but the sculpt is horrid, especially considering how amazing the last Clayface sculpt was.
Definitely looks like he could smell more offensive than man-thing- has my vote for "grossest looking sculpt"- a friend nailed it when he said 'face here "looks like the s**t monster from Dogma". Love the creative & out of the ordinary powers & dial, but this guy really needs support of the carrying/TKing/outwit variety for him to get into the fray & make an impact before getting chunks blasted out of his heap at range-
His super plasticity and poison are fantastic for Arkham Asylum teams. My favorite is to pair him up with DKR Scarecrow and have them double poison somebody, then Scarecrow gets the free Mind Control.
