Hello everyone. I've been away from Heroclix for like 3 years; now I was considering re taking the hobby.

However I don't live in the USA, and our currency is pretty crappy, making it a rather expensive game... so, wanting to make the most out of my money, I began to consider the HCO option. If it were like Magic Online, cool: cheaper than the actual stuff and the advantage of having the chance to play WHENEVER, only disadvantage is not actually having the stuff in your hands...

But when I looked into the site, it's not very clear how it works: which sets do thay available? Can you buy figs, or do you have to buy boosters? Furthermore, is the game working well? Because I read a couple of comments regarding it as very bugged...

you have to buy in game cash at 5 US dollars per 100 in game money. To get figures there is a store and an auction house. There is a figure of the week where u can buy a certain figure for 19 game cash and there are single figure style boosters of some sets also for 19 and fast forces for 133 (or real FF packs come with a code to get the online versions for free) or starters for 39. There is also tournaments that have different prices and prizes depending on format but for a starter the marvel crossover sealed is the best way to go for 200 game cash you get 10 figures to make a 400 point team with just like a 2 booster sealed real life event and this tends to be the best way to get super rare figures and chases. Sets are mainly fast forces and starters but there are select figures from other sets like Hammer of Thor, Web of Spider-man, Giant Sized X-men, and Captain America. Its not so bad to play and can do in a pinch when u can't play real clix but i suggest before buying anything other then the game itself you make sure you'll be able to run it on your computer because you may have a problem. My computer can run World of Warcraft on lower graphics pretty fluidly but HCO even on the lowest settings its pretty laggy and can run pretty slow.

It's 2.95 for the game itself (which gets you an account, and also a starter set; Fantastic four or Blackest night).

Clixbux are on sale right now(I believe), so you could totally pick some up (maybe $10 or $20 to start).

for 22.95, you will get those 7 characters of your starter and an ability to play a couple of sealed tournaments (garnering 10 random figs each) or just buy a bunch of figures on the Auction house.

Nevertheless. If you want to just start with the 2.95 investment, you can usually find someone online who will hook you up with a bunch of common/uncommon figures to get you started in the game (just like in real life!)

There are very few bugs nowadays.

There are limited sets out right now, but enough to keep things fairly interesting.

Playerbase will fluctuate, so depending on where you live, you may have a more difficult time finding matches - but if you have 1 or 2 local friends that you could encourage to try it out too, you may have a blast!

my 2 cents is the following

buy 20 bucks worth of clixbucks and buy a few decent clix in the AH but rely on getting commons and most uncommons from people. Do not buy in AH til you have atleast looked at the prices per certain fig for a day or 2.

also the only absolute full set is HoT. but theres a bunch of figs from each set mentioned by Slayer. DC starters and GF as well. If you just run a simple units search for all figs in HCO then it will tell you all figs online right now. however the last few figs added to HCO, like the figure of the week, might not work correctly at first but they'll fix it at sometime
