It will be hard to think about anything besides the stellar Amazing Spider-Man Heroclix set coming out this week, yet new comics will be coming out.

...now, if we can just get Professor Pyg confirmed.
ANIMAL MAN #17 (ROT) - blah blah Rotworld. I almost feel like I'm buying this to finish off the crossover. Really needs to step up.
SWAMP THING #17 (ROT) - Definitely dropping this after the crossover. Outside of American Vampire Snyder just does not grab my attention.
ALL NEW X-MEN #7 NOW2 - This has been a pretty good story. Especially for Bendis.
AVENGERS #5 NOW2 - Hickman's Avengers has been one hell of a trip.
IRON MAN #6 NOW2 - Very good, very character driven Iron Man. It doesn't miss the fun tech bits, but uses them to get in Tony's head.
SECRET AVENGERS #37 - Remender's run is coming to a close and it's awesome. Giant killer robots are fun.
VENOM #31 - The last arc wasn't great for me, but I also don't give a damn about the U-Foes. They actually bring me out of a story. Good set up at the end though, hopefully we get some more interaction Valkyrie.
FEARLESS DEFENDERS #1 NOW - Bunn has got me interested. Good hype work.
Pick of the week this week goes to Superior Spider-Man. Love it.
The comic is great. Makes 50+ year old characters feel fresh. I think I got more of a feel for Doc and Vulture than I have from all other comics I've read with them combined. Not to mention that things happen every issue and the fights are cool.
It makes me sad that so many people won't even give something new a chance just because they read a plot point on the Internet and instantly decided they didn't like it.

Yes, because those people should certainly spend their money on a comic where they're not a fan of the premise of Doctor Octopus running around in Peter Parkers body for an unknown period of time after having stolen his life (after having tried to destroy the world, no less!) or any other part of the overall mess that Spider-Man has been through since the start of OMD.
Because there's certainly no other comics they'd rather spend their money on instead. Or other things that they might need their money for.
Dan Slott continues to write good Spidey for my money, but my standout read was New Avengers. Hickman is starting to show a bit of what I was hoping to see... and it was surprising that such a powerful moment in Marveldom might go unnoticed by a lot of readers (who aren't checking out this book). It was darn cool to see the characters that took notice, too.
Avengers was a solid read, too.

Thanos shouldn't have been there. Not without someone explaining how he got out of the cancerverse.
Spoiler (Click in box to read)
I'm mostly curious as to whether he has something special planned for the Time Gem, given that unlike the others, that one vanished rather than shattering. I find it hard to imagine that he would have done something like that without having a good reason for it.
To be fair, I haven't read all my comics for the week yet, but I did read 3 very excellent Marvel comics: Avengers, New Avengers, and Superior Spider-Man.
Even as good as the other two were, I enjoyed New Avengers the most. In nearly any other week, Superior Spidey would have been the best, though. That was a damn fine comic.
Of course, I don't actually refer to New Avengers as "New Avengers." I prefer to think of it as Black Panther and his Amazing Friends.
