Okay, I did not know where else to post this, but I'm looking for some good comic related novels. Not GRAPHIC novel, just novel. I read through a few back in the day, but have never been able to find anything else again. I almost like them better than graphic novels because it is cheaper, and get more out of them.
I've read xmen and Star Trek crossover, Spider-Man and xmen crossover, time arrow trilogy, cosmic cube trilogy, but have not been able to find much else.
Looked at amazon, but was wondering if you peeps have seen anything good.
Thanks,
Happy ASM week.
Heroclix is just too spendy with 3 children under 5 Official Advocate for the release of DC/Marvel Heroclix: Access-He would be fun.
Are you only looking for novels that have MARVEL and DC characters? Because I can name a few that are great novels - and it would be a shame to dismiss them with such a narrow filter. I'm no English Professor, I like books with action and laughs in them, and I enjoyed all of these:
The Amazing Adventures of Kavalier & Clay - by Michael Chabon.
Soon I Will Be Invincible - by Austin Grossman.
Wildcards series - by George RR Martin and others. (not as much great literature like the two above, but inventive, engrossing and there's a LOT of them.)

Greg Rucka's Queen and Country spy comics ended up producing 3 novels, in addition to the comics themselves. You won't have to have read the comics to understand them.
The novels:
- A Gentleman's Game (2004)
- Private Wars (2005)
- The Last Run (2010)
...now, if we can just get Professor Pyg confirmed.
Elliot S. Maggin wrote the following novels, which I recommend to anyone.
Kingdom Come (novelization of the original GN by Alex Ross and Mark Waid).
Superman novels - Last Son of Krypton, Miracle Monday
"I have deprived your ship of power, and when I swing around, I mean to deprive you of your life. But I wanted you to know who it was who had beaten you."
KHAN NOONIAN SINGH
In memory of Ricardo Gonzalo Pedro Montalbán Merino
Warren Ellis wrote a novel titled Crooked Little Vein. Seems to be a detective story with some weirdness to it. Never read it myself, though I'm considering it (if I can stop spending money on clix).

I work in an English department. I'll second Grossman's book, and I'll also suggest Sidekicks, by Jack Ferraiolo.
