So we had a few interesting questions come up the other day using him in sealed games.
Demo attacks and hits a single token Power Cosmic piece and Dracula. Can the PC chose option 2 that counters even though PC negates that effect? Can you chose 2 tokens when you already have 1 or is it a forced counter?
Does the counter happen before dmg is dealt, thus avoiding any reducers?
REPENT!: When Demogoblin hits an opposing character, that character's controller chooses one: give that character two action tokens; or that character's defense power is countered until your next turn.
POWER COSMIC
Characters using the Power Cosmic team ability can use Willpower and their powers cannot be countered. Uncopyable.
Rhino does not ignore characters so does his path refer to a opposing adjacent to the path he moved through? Since it says 'a character' I assume it means only 1, but your choice of any that he moved by?
RHINO HIDE: Improved Movement: Ignores Hindering Terrain, Ignores Blocking Terrain and destroys Blocking Terrain as the character moves through it.
HEAD DOWN, HORN UP: Rhino can use Charge. When he does, he automatically breaks away and if he moves only in a straight horizontal, vertical, or diagonal path and hits a character along that path, roll a d6; increase Rhino's damage value by half the result.
Does barrier really count for Terrax?
STONE GIVES ME STRENGTH: Modify Terrax's damage value by the number of squares of blocking terrain adjacent to him.
Example 1: Power Cosmic Wins. The fig cannot receive two tokens since it already has one; cannot have its powers countered due to PC. Can't trumps can in this game.
Example 2: There was some debate before the fig was officially released so I am not sure if the arbs weighed in. The general consensus was that the "along the path" meant that only characters actually in that line (opposed to adjacent) could be targeted and therefore was limited to one target.
Example 3: Blocking terrain is blocking terrain unless it specifies "printed blocking" so yes Barrier, Geo Fists, etc. count.
REPENT!: When Demogoblin hits an opposing character, that character's controller chooses one: give that character two action tokens; or that character's defense power is countered until your next turn.

I'd like some more clarification on this, I was going against a Nightmare is our sealed. I have a few questions.
1. Since Nightmare has power cosmic and his powers can't be countered, can Nightmare choose to have his defense counter but then nothing happens due to power cosmic and Nightmare (or any character with power cosmic) negates repent all together.
2. If a character has 1 action token, can they choose to take the 2 action tokens but then it maxs at 2?
3. (depending on the answers of 1 and 2) In the case of Nightmare, he has 1 action token and power cosmic...if he can't choose to have his defense power countered and he can't take the action tokens...nothing happens? (kinda lame, you should be able to add the second action token.)

Not completely sure but probably yes.

Nope. Rulebook is absolutely clear on this one. Golden Rule #4) THE RULE OF ACTION TOKENS No game effect can result in more than 2 action tokens on a character. If part of a game effect would cause this to happen, that part of the game effect is ignored. The power says two not up to two not one. Just like chase Thanos having to bring 2 figures over, if he can't then he can't bring any.

Don't attack Power Cosmic figs with this power and you won't have to worry about it.
