Big Barda was taken to JLA headquarters to join the other members.

Nu'Bia was taken to Themiscyra by Wonder Woman.

Kilowog and John Stewart flew immediately to Oa with Captain Mar-Vell. Beta Ray Bill stayed behind to speak with the Avengers.

Hawkgirl flew back to Midway City with Hawkman. Upon her arrival the Black Cat decided to move back to New York City.

Supergirl, Brainiac 5 and Chameleon Boy went to the Legion headquarters with Saturn Girl, Lightning Lad and Cosmic Boy.

Jesse Quick went to Capital City to look after the JSA headquarters.

Everyone else returned to where they normally stayed to regroup and figure out the next move in trying to liberate Metropolis.

Lex Luthor took over the leadership of Intergang. He was now fully in control of the city and had plans to expand that.

Day 12: Early Morning, An alternate Earth, near Metropolis.

Patience Phillips was revelling in her new life as the Catwoman. Since she had brought Laurel Hedare to justice, she'd been a headache for underworld figures all over the city. crime was down 70 per cent.

Today she was crossing rooftops, just enjoying her catlike abilities. When she made a leap to cross to a rooftop twenty feet away from her. A rift in reality appearing ahead of her changed all her plans.

Chameleon Boy, Beast Boy, Yellowjacket and Invisible Woman were assigned to watch the Metropolis entry point in case more arrivals occurred today like some of the other arrivals had.

They were rewarded by the appearance of a rift. From the rift a woman in a catsuit appeared. She landed deftly, like a cat and turned around and looked around, giving the waiting heroes a good look at her.

All but Chameleon Boy took one look at her and blurted, "Halle Berry?"

Patience Phillips looked in the direction of the outburst. She saw two women in costumes , one even more garish then hers, a green teen age boy and an orange alien with antenna like on the old My Favorite Martian TV series. The words Halle Berry meant nothing to her but she immediately went into a defensive stance.

The heroes saw only Halle Berry, apparently dressed as a superheroine.
They began laughing, with the exception of Chameleon Boy, who had no idea who Halle Berry was.

Garfield asked the two women, "So Halle Berry exists in your reality too?"

Yellowjacket; who was Rita DeMara nodded and called out "Halle? Are you filming a movie?"

Patience Phillips was confused. They think she's an actress? This had to be some sort of trick. They were trying to throw her off guard. Were these to be her first supervillains? Why had they brought her here? They'd kidnapped her. She would have to fight. She'd give them a fight. They wouldn't take her that easy.

The heroes were off guard and with the exception of Chameleon Boy began approaching her in a jovial, friendly manner. Garfield even began asking for her autograph, mentioning his own television series he'd starred in.

All of this was very confusing to Patience Phillips and when Susan Storm and Rita DeMara got too close, they were knocked out by lightning quick kicks to the head.

A shocked Beast Boy was paralyzed by the sight of the unexpected attack (why was Halle Berry attacking us?) and was soon unconscious himself.

This left Chameleon Boy to deal with the strange situation. He considered what he'd seen. The others thought she was a trusted entertainer, yet when they got close they were attacked. Could this woman be one of those Skrulls he'd been briefed about who were similar to Durlans? If so, why had she blown her cover?

While he mused, the strange catwoman was making a break for it, running for Metropolis, swiftly but not attempting to fly like a shape shifter might do by becoming a bird or something.

Chameleon Boy changed into an Antwellian Bleezit, which could fly extremely fast, especially in an Earthlike atmosphere which was not as thick as the atmosphere on Antwel. He managed to overtake her but she grabbed his fore body and drove him into the ground forcefully.

When Chameleon Boy stopped seeing stars, his quarry had entered the city after dancing around the Intergang guards manning that entrance to the city.

He returned to the others and worked to revive them.

Patience Phillips ran into the unfamiliar city that was near where she'd arrived. She felt she'd done quite well dealing with those four who tried to take her after she'd been brought to this strange place. But what was with those strangely garbed guards on the street entrance? They'd even accused her of being Halle Berry! Who on Earth was Halle Berry? Why did everyone think she was her? This was all very strange.

Why did this city seem like it was on martial law? Everywhere she looked she saw armed figures dressed in those odd costumes. She scrambled to the rooftops to think. She then saw armored figures patrolling the skies. Though she didn't know it, these were Lexcorp security, who now worked in tandem with the Intergang agents.

She realized the rooftops weren't going to be safe for her either. Where on Earth was she? Russia?

As the four heroes recovered and pulled themselves together, they knew that this odd "Catwoman" who seemed to be Halle Berry, was getting into deep trouble by heading into Metropolis.

Chameleon Boy alerted Saturn Girl of their predicament. She canvassed the minds in Metropolis and soon located her by the depths of her confusion.

Chameleon Boy transformed into an alien beast that could fly fast but could carry the weight of Beast Boy and Invisible Woman. Yellowjacket shrank to insect size so as not to be a burden. Invisiible Woman made them all invisible. They flew off after the catwoman who seemed to be a famous actress.

Lex Luthor received a report from an Intergang agent.

"Halle Berry has invaded Metropolis sir."

"What?"

"I said----"

"I know what you said! Why would a famous actress invade Metropolis?"

"She seemed to think she was Catwoman sir."

"What? Soldier? Why would Halle Berry think she was Catwoman?"

"We don't know sir, but everyone agreed she looked like Halle Berry,"

"Well, if she was Halle Berry, why weren't you able to stop her?"

"She acted like Catwoman sir."

"Well then she must have been Catwoman!"

"Yes sir, but she looked like Halle Berry sir."

"Well maybe Catwoman is disguised as Halle Berry, did you ever think of that?"

"It's a pretty good disguise sir. Had us all fooled."

"Well that's not surprising! You're all fools any way. I want her found and brought to me. do you understand?"

"Sir, yes sir!"

When the agent left. Luthor called in Cheshire.

"Did you hear all that?"

"Yes."

"Well, you know what I want, alive of course."

"Of course." Cheshire slipped out.

Luthor sat in thought, bemused.

The heroes found her relatively quickly, thanks to Saturn Girl's help. This time Chameleon Boy enveloped her, much the same way he'd enveloped and incapacitated Kobra earlier.

Patience Phillips was indignant but there wasn't much she could do. They began explaining themselves to her. She didn't believe their explanations.

Beast Boy gave her a demonstration of what he could do. Her eyes bugged out. That was way beyond her abilities. She accused him of being a green Martian.

Yellowjacket showed her what she could do but told her it was because of a substance called the Pym particles. She was further impressed but still wasn't swayed.

Chameleon Boy admitted he was an alien but was also from a thousand years in the future. He explained about the Legion of Superheroes.

Invisible Woman told her about the Fantastic Four and how they preferred to consider themselves adventurers and explorers rather then superheroes.

Patience asked them why they accused her of being "Halle Berry". They explained that too.

Chameleon Boy made a mental note to check out some Halle Berry movies when he got the chance. He was getting curious about this woman. Everybody knew about her except him! He was feeling left out!

Invisible Woman had been making sure that everyone was invisible to the Lexcorp security but allowed visibility up close.

Cheshire had snuck up behind them all, and in deference to Roy Harper upon seeing Beast Boy, merely incapacitated Yellowjacket, Invisible Woman and Beast Boy. She raked Chameleon Boy with her poisoned tipped fingernails. For Chameleon Boy, the pain was excruciating. He immediately released Patience Phillips.

"Who are you?" she asked Cheshire.

Cheshire knew then that this couldn't be the Cat Woman she knew and said, "I'm a friend. I'm going to take you to safety." Cheshire wanted to accuse her of being Halle Berry as well, but decided against it.

She led the hapless heroine to meet Lex Luthor.

Beta Ray Bill had learned that Asgard existed here and was in desparate straits, guarded only by Hercules and the Enchantress, with none of it's revered warriors to defend it. Bill took a teleporter with him to Asgard.

Now easy transportation for Hercules and Bill existed so that they could help in extreme emergencies. Meanwhile Bill took up helping to defend his good friend Thor's home alongside Hercules and the Enchantress.

Mostly, it gave Captain America a chance to communicate with them if problems arose.

The Crimson Dynamo and Rocket Red finished their trip to Moscow, or actually, where Moscow was supposed to be.

The confiscated ship was nearly depleted of fuel. There was no safe place to land and the Crimson Dynamo was willing to let the plane crash.

Rocket Red however, had become more conscientious about the environment and the two used their armor to ease the jetliner down into an open field. They were joined by many Rocket Reds who had seen them and helped them bring the plane down to a safe landing.

The other Rocket Reds were elated to see the plane since it was the first sign of civilization they'd encountered since arriving the day before.

The Crimson Dynamo armor drew a lot of questions for Dmitri Pushkin but Dmitri Bukharin tried to calm his suspicious Rocket Red colleagues.

His explanations didn't sit well though with the other Rocket Reds. They were suspicious because they hadn't seen any signs of civilisation. One Rocket Red claimed he saw bands of cossacks in the distance but that was ignored as delusional ranting of an unstable mind.

Dmitri Bukharin found that he needed the support of his new Rocket Red acquantance as the other Rocket Reds accused him of being the source of their newfound problems.

Dmitri Pushkin protested the ill treatment his Rocket Red colleagues were trying to give his friend. Still; he had been trying to reconnect with his family, and his family was nowhere to be found. He couldn't help but feel disappointed.

The fact that the only shelter around seemed to be an American jetliner nearly empty of fuel with room for only a third of the Rocket Reds wasn't very reassuring.

Dmitri Bukharin wasn't very happy to learn that he would not be able to relax in the airliner for shelter in an effort to create good will with the other Rocket Reds. Dmitri Pushkin decided to "rough it" along with his new friend. He decided to stay out of it despite the other Rocket Reds welcoming him to sleep there. He was quite the diplomat.

Patience Phillips was brought before Lex Luthor.

"You are Halle Berry! Why do you insist on pretending to be Cat Woman?"

Patience Phillips peered at the bald man before her. Something about his self assured stance told her she better be careful.

"I ---- I, uh, I, err, uh----, ----- how do you know I'm Halle Berry?"

"Oh come now! Everyone knows you because of your movies. What is this? Rehearsing for a part?"

"A part? ------ Oh, yes, a part! That's exactly what I was doing, rehearsing for a -- er, movie role. That's exactly it!" She said just a trifle over enthusiastically.

Luthor peered at her curiously. Her demeanor was odd, but he attributed that to Miss Berry respecting his power.

"Well; Miss Berry, I would suggest saving the pretense for now. Somehow; rather oddly, you were brought here in the midst of several powerful individuals. Hollywood doesn't exist here Miss Berry. You need to find some other occupation. I'm sure I could find something to give your life meaning.

With that, Luthor leered in a way that completely irritated her. Still she sensed it would be prudent to allow him to think she was Halle Berry. She realized she might not get out of there alive otherwise.

"Cheshire! Find Miss Barry a suitable hotel suite she can stay in until we can situate her more comfortably." He leered down at her.

"I'll try to look in on you in the evening, we'll enjoy a sumptuous meal worthy of a great star like you."

Patience Phillips allowed herself to be led away by Cheshire. She was as confused as ever.

Chameleon Boy's system was on fire. He recognized that his system was poisoned and shapeshifted to a Rigellian creature capable of transmuting poisons into energy with it's internal organs. Within minutes he was as good as new.

Saturn Girl helped locate their quarry and the chase was back on. Poor Beast Boy was kicking himself when he learned it was Cheshire that had gotten the drop on him.

Invisible Woman turned them all invisible and away they went.

The General fumed. Those damned Green Lanterns! They weren't man enough to face him one on one! They can't beat him! He was too much for any of them. Now they've stranded him on an asteroid again? They didn't even have enough imagination to do something different to deal with him? He escaped the asteroid before! He could do that again. Why not?

He settled down to wait. He didn't have to wait long.

Darkseid arrived via Boom Tube and brought him to Apokolips. The stipulation? Obey Darkseid implicitly or return where he came.

The General agreed to obey, as long as Darkseid agreed to make him a high ranking official in his organization. Darkseid reluctantly agreed.

The Shade found Jack Knight. Jack filled him in on what he knew.

The Shade thanked him and left with a warning. It was time for the Shade to be a problem again. As Jack's friend, The Shade felt he should give fair warning. It was time for the Shade to be a real threat, but first, he would have to investigate the usurper that seemed to have his own powers.

He left to confront Jackie Estacado.

LEX LUTHOR finds a good use for HALLE BERRY'S CATWOMAN !!!!!!
