This set will bring in a few heroes and villains that weren't introduced in the Infinity Challenge and Xplosion arcs.

Day 13: Early Morning. An alternate Earth in an alternate reality, somewhere near the replicated Opal City.

Professor Charles Xavier was gravely concerned about his missing X-Men. He knew that several of his enemies were missing as well, such as Magneto and Sabertooth. Magneto had been both his best friend and his worst enemy. A dangerous combination filled with unpredictability.

He was using his old standard wheel chair because the one given to him by the Shiar needed repair. As it happened, he was on an upper floor of his mansion after searching for some papers he stored in an upper room.

He'd found what he needed and was about to attach his chair to the special lift that would take him back downstairs when it seemed like an invisible force grabbed his chair and hurled him and the chair down the stairs similar to what Richard Widmark did in Kiss of Death.

Xavier plunged down the stairs but fell into a rift in reality before he could reach the bottom. The chair fell through the rift as well.

He landed roughly on a patch of grass at the feet of a tall corpulant figure with his chair landing on his legs.

Looking up, he saw the vaguely amused visage of Wilson Fisk, dressed in his trademark white suit. The alleged "Kingpin of Crime.

Fisk smirked down at him. "Charles Xavier, I presume?"

"Let me help you back into your chair Xavier." Fisk reached down and with powerful hands put Professor Xavier into his wheel chair and dusted him off.

"We both seem to be victims of the same odd fate that has been befalling several of your er, colleagues in the superhuman community. Though why I; a humble entrepeneur, would be victimized in such a way, I cannot fathom."

"Oh come now, Fisk! Stop the pretense. You clearly know all about me, so you obviously know that you haven't any secrets that can be hidden from me. You have a powerful, intense mind, but it's still only human and wide open to me."

Fisk's face clouded for a second but only a second. Despite his obvious physical superiority, he knew he was way out of his league if Xavier decided to take him out.

Because of their questionable circumstances and the mysterious nature of what was happening to them, Fisk knew that the leader of the X-Men would make a better ally then a foe.

"Xavier, we're both in deep. I propose we work together to try to get out of this." Fisk was desparately working to guard his thoughts while inwardly cursing that he was finally free of interference from Daredevil and Spiderman only to have been forced against his will to follow them wherever they'd gone.

Xavier spotted a wrecked limousine nearby. The limo driver lolled in the drivers seat with a snapped neck. A quick mind probe proved that Fisk had not slain the driver but the crash did. Fisk did not even seemed to be scratched.

The city skyline they observed was unfamiliar to both of them.

Fisk asked, "Do you know what city that is?"

"No, I've been to every major city on Earth and never have I encountered this one. It's completely unfamiliar to me."

Xavier scanned the city and learned a great deal. It was almost information overload. He was about to explain it to Fisk when he sensed menacing thoughts aimed at the two of them.

"On your guard Fisk! We are about to be attacked!"

The Flash, Supergirl, Wonder Woman and Jesse Quick were assigned to try to determine where any new arrivals might appear.

The Flash was dividing his attention between Opal City and Metropolis (in case more appeared there).

Wonder Woman watched New York City and Happy Harbor.

Supergirl covered Smallville while Jesse Quick watched Central City.

The Flash stumbled on the odd sight of a large corpulant bald man beating up four orcs while several other orcs and a few ogres were busily attacking each other while another bald man in a wheel chair seemed to be in deep concentration.

Deciding that these must be the new arrivals, Barry swept the orcs and ogres away, then introduced himself to the new arrivals.

Xavier and the Kingpin shook his hand. Barry knew from past experience that one of them had to be a villain of some sort but wasn't sure who. His instincts said the large fat man who reminded him of Sidney Greenstreet while the man in the wheel chair made him think of Yul Brynner.

Yul Brynner usually played the hero so; although it was somewhat irrational, Barry decided to watch the large man who claimed to be a simple business man.

When Xavier identified himself as the leader of the X-Men, Barry knew his instincts were right. The Flash called in the X-Men who soon arrived in their jet to collect Xavier. The Flash carried Fisk to the facility to meet with Nick Fury and Cameron Chase.

Xavier promised to confer with Fury after he had a chance to reconnect with his X-Men.

Most of the X-Men remained behind now that they knew the arrival spot was near Opal City while Hank McCoy took Xavier back to the mansion to meet with the New Mutants. Since it appeared the Marvel universe was the source of the new arrivals only the Flash was assigned as back up --- for now.

The Kingpin was brought before Nick Fury. Cameron Chase was there but only as an observor.

Fisk raged. "What legal right do you have to hold me, Fury? I'm not under your jurisdiction! Your job is to deal with terrorists or alien invasions."

"Normally you're right Fisk, but we have extenuating circumstances here. We're not on Earth as you know it. We on an alternate Earth and you have a known criminal record."

"Alleged criminal record Fury. I've never been convicted. You haven't got anything on me!"

"Maybe not, but the rules aren't the same here. We're all just trying to go back to where we came from but we've discovered that most of you who like to bend the law seem to prefer it here."

"What? I'm not like that! I'd like nothing more then to go back to my wife and my own life and leave this nonsense to you and those ridiculous superheroes."

"Is that true, Fisk?"

"Of course it is!"

"Well then, several of our agents would like to give you a briefing, bring you up to date on our situation here, on this lopsided planet. there's a lot you don't know. This briefing will bring you up to speed. Then you and I will have another interview after you've had your briefing. Is that okay with you?"

Fisk eyed Fury. He needed to know what he'd gotten himself into. He agreed.

Nu'Bia was very comfortable in Themiscyra. With the strange things that had happened recently, Themiscyra was just what she needed. Wonder Woman told her about the delicate situation involving Fury and Nu'Bia was fine with that. She thought it was strange that only the peaceful Amazons who refused to fight were available but there were very few of those.

She met three women who hailed from a different universe from herself and Wonder Woman, they were the Witchblade, the Angelus and Cyblade. She welcomed them as fellow warriors.

Jack Knight had been hoping for a peaceful day where he could indulge in his various hobbies but the news that Opal City was going to be the host city for new arrivals from that other universe that seemed to have nearly as many super beings as his own ruined that possibility.

He was obliged to go on his own steady patrol and was grateful that Plastic Man had decided to stay in Opal City to help with his patrols.

Professor Xavier was overwhelmed when Hank McCoy brought him to Xavier mansion. The mansion was a dead on replica of his own mansion.

His New Mutant students rushed to greet him and Xavier was deeply touched to see Illyana Rasputin alive and well. He marvelled at the circumstances he was involved in and after a reasonable time reconnecting with the New Mutants, he took the teleporter to meet with Nick Fury.

Arwyn, Princess Ashleigh, Johnny Alpha, Wulf Sternhammer and the Magdalena had overwhelming evidence of the oppressive nature of the city overlord. It was time to overthrow the tyrant.

But they had to pursue it delicately. Lives were at stake. Innocent ones. If they overthrew him now, he would take many innocent lives with him.

The druid they'd met; Possum Pinoak, had cast a spell that summoned some of his own friends, among them a gnome Illusionist called Grimble Grumble, a halfling called Blick Onstaff, an elf mage called Almgren, a clric called Thaddeus and a fighting man called Melkor.

They were ready to go into the Overlord's stronghold and bring him down from within.

Day 13: On an alternate Earth, near a replicated Opal City, mid morning:

T'Challa the Black Panther was concerned about his missing Avenger friends.

So many had disappeared though it seemed that the X-Men had been hit the worst.

He had agreed to return to Avengers service to replace the absent Captain America, though he sometimes struggled to resist anomousity with Iron Man.

Right now he was trying to find the Grim Reaper and stop him from one of his crazy plots.

He was leaping across a rooftop when he was engulfed in a rift in reality which deposited him into a pond.

Sputtering, he swam out of the pond and found himself facing the mocking laughter of the Silver Samurai.

The Silver Samurai mocked T'Challa as he drew himself out of the pond water.

There was a city skyline; unfamiliar to either them, looming to their East. Though they didn't know it, several X-Men were waiting for their arrival on the opposite side of the city.

The Black Panther eyed the Silver Samurai. "We're not enemies --- for now. Do you need us to be?"

The Silver Samurai stopped laughing. He knew the reputation of the Black Panther and though he was a samurai, had no wish to test it.

He looked at the Black Panther.

Honor insisted he engage him in battle. The Silver Samurai was only interested in that if he thought he had a reasonable chance of winning.

The Silver Samurai held his hands up.

T'Challa decided to press it. He got up into the Samurai's face and dared him to take it to the next level. The Samurai backed down. Self preservation was the dominant factor here.

Arguing he had no quarrell, the Silver Samurai bowed and rushed away into the nearby city. On his way there he met a persuasive Ogre Magi and soon wound up half a world away.

T'Challa watched as the Silver Samurai beat a hasty retreat. He knew the villain preferred to bully those weaker then him. He discreetly followed him and was surprised when the Bushido nearly ran into a towering creature that loomed even over the Silver Samurai's 6 and a half foot frame.

The fearsome creature blew dust in the Samurai's face causing the Samurai to collapse into the creature's arms. The creature hefted his 250 lb frame with ease and actually winked at T'Challa before both disappeared in a cloud of smoke.

T'Challa sprinted to the spot where they disappeared but was overwhelmed by the smell of sulfer. There was no other sign that the two had been there.

T'Challa decided to enter the unfamiliar city through stealth.

He noticed a presence of Shield agents mingling with National Guard troops and others in unfamiliar garb. He knew that nearly every Shield agent in existance had disappeared with only a few top agents like Dum Dum Dugan left behind. Doubtless this was where they'd gone; still he wanted to know more before he exposed himself, especially after the bizarre sight he'd seen with the Silver Samurai.

He moved on into the city, which he learned was called Opal City. He'd never ever heard of any city by that name.

The Silver Samurai woke up. He was surrounded by several Hand ninja most prominently, Kirigi.

Kirigi began to explain to him that he was in a feudal state replica of Japan and the outside of their compound was of a more medieval nature. He would now be in the service of a powerful Ogre Magi, the same one that brought him here.

Kirigi led him to a room where he was fed and began to explain everything.

More of Black Adam's people in Kahndaq appeared, mostly the middle tier people that keptt the country. This meant that Adam soon was able to relax his vigilance and turn the protection of the country over to soldiers although the soldiers had no high ranking leaders. This meant that Adam was still tied down having to give orders and ensure they were obeyed.

This was rough on his patience and he needed all the wisdom of Zehuti to contain his wrath.

Meanwhile Gorilla Grodd was angry in his own right. Gorilla City was much further South from Kahndaq. But Grodd was the only protection the city had. He had subjects, but only the elderly, infirm, and females with children. It was up to him to protect them and the city he'd coveted for so long. It seemed his warriors weren't likely to show up. Most of his subjects preferred to stay out of his way.

Less then fifty miles from Grodd; the hidden country of Wakanda waited, newly placed on this alternate Earth, void of all it's citizens save one, newly arrived on the other side of the Atlantic.

The X-men waited futilely. Most of them would rather be back at the mansion greeting and welcoming Professor X. It was getting boring waiting for new arrivals. Had the wind been right, Wolverine would have caught the scent of the Black Panther and the Silver Samurai, -- but it wasn't. They had no idea that there were new rules in play for new arrivals.
