I don't want to play a game of chess where dumb luck or money decides whether or not I get to use a rook... Collectibility is a necessary evil of Heroclix, not a boon.
Avenging Spidey #16 - He teams up with the X-men. He seems annoyed that they're called Homo Superior when he's smarter and stronger than them. He beats up Wolverine to prove a point. This issue also has a scene where Jackal has raided Mr. Sinister's lab (Which may or may not be important)
Avenging Spidey #18 - He teams up with Thor to stop Electro (Who was pumped up by AIM to take revenge on Thor). Thor won't listen to him and Ock starts getting annoyed. Thor finds him arrogant, despite the fact that Ock saves his life.
Superior #6 - It answers your questions. I'm sure you'll read it so I won't spoil it.
Also, since you haven't read Avenging, there's another plot point going on in them that isn't mentioned in Superior. He seems to be "collecting" Sinister Six members for unknown reasons. He has Sandman (Avenging #17) and Electro (#18) in little containment cells in his room.
@darkblue. I can't afford anymore books at the moment. I really shouldn't have picked up superior but it looked (and is) so awesome I'm loving it.
I peeked at avenging and saw the people's he's got. When did he get sand man? Also I guess it's a silly question because it depends on who is writing him but how did he beat wolvie?
Also for those reading age of ultron is that still Ock Spidey? He seemed to be wise cracking in issue one and I didn't think that's something Ock did? Though he did look like the stuff got beaten out of him so maybe Parker started to slip out...

He stole Sandman from a vault in the Baxter Building in Avenging #17.
He beat Wolverine by just going all out on him and smashing him into the pavement. Spider-man is always capable of doing stuff like that, but Peter never uses full strength (Which is why I always disagree with people trying to make 4 damage on Spidey Heroclix).

Wolverine is a guy with claws, a good sense of smell, and a lot of combat training who if you hurt (or kill) will get better far faster than expected. His bones wont break but other than that you can do just about anything you can to anyone else to him with equal short term effect.
Spider-Man is a guy that can run 200 mph, lift over 80 tons, has inhuman reaction time aided by a precognitive danger sense, can take a grenade blast from point blank range, and developed his own martial art based on his incredible agility and superhuman senses, (see the evidence on the wolverine vs. batman youtube video, it's easier than me looking it up.)
The question you should be asking is how anyone ever thought Wolverine could take down Spider-Man....
And In response to Shield0001, we all know Peter Parker holds back. Superman holds back even more but we dont get a lot of his dials with super-dumbed-down powers because of it. He's almost always on par with Darkseid, Imperiex, and Captain Marvel like he should be.
