Constantine is pretty cool. He doesn't have the "punk" feel (IMO) that he used to, and I find that I miss it.

And Suicide Squad, I just finished reading it, and blargh...I hope a new writer is what the book needs. Seriously,

Well, I think I am done with Uncanny Avengers here. Very poor take on Thor and Apocalypse way over powered. One punch is not going to nearly take Thor's head off, and I am sorry, but he can actually use Mjolnir at this point. Using an axe, okay, whatever...implying he has to because he has no Mjolnir....dumb. Thor is easily in Apocalypse's league even without it. Meaning it felt very contrived to advance the plot.

I think I am also nearing done with Thor as well. The story is dragging, bad writing at this point (Thor knows he becomes Odin, two of his biggest modern, if not the two biggest, revolve around this, not well handled, especially given he has the accumulated knowledge of an Odin Thor from the reigning, never mind his recent brush with it from his last two series). Nevermind that yet again the plot goes no where. It feels like we have just hit issue two in a six issue arc or something. The story is just too decompressed.

Do you mean the Dial H one or the Avengers one? I assume the latter because that's the one that came out this week.

What I learned (from what I bought)


Arcade is a loser that throws a great birthday party. Killed Constrictor. Ignores Av:Init. for the most part. And at least we know how he has his godlike powers. In Antarctica. Sorry to say, the deaths are actual deaths. No VR. Sorry fans.

Brainiac likes collecting bottle cities. Threshold I'm still waiting for to catch fire. Giffen has earned my respect over the years but I'm waiting for this to really put it over. Captain Carro.... I mean K'rot.... is a hybrid Starlord/Raccoon/Han Solo.

We arent' forgetting Damien's death just yet. Bruce Wayne is "evil". Just like it's really "Bruce Wayne". And a Reaper appearance. Looked good, too.
