My Team's Better Than Your Team: Original Teen Titans vs X-Men
Welcome to a new flyingicarus and Gargantua production.
Here is a proposed series of games meant to counter-point our bigger or more involved games.
The premise is simple. We start at 800 points to use (to be adjusted if needed). Feats and relics may be used but nothing else and can be used up to 10% of the total cost.
Asgardians vs Kryptonians
Fantastic Four vs Cap's Kooky Quartet
70s JLA vs 70s Avengers
This is not to say we couldn't do the Inhumans vs Great Ten. Any match is game.
The winner chooses his next line up for the other player to match with a team of their own.
Score board:
Spider-Man enemies win over Batman enemies
1970s Avengers vs. Justice League is still in progress
Asgardians vs. Kryptonians just started
And here we have the Original X-Men vs. the Original Teen Titans
"Five of them," Angel says returning from reconnaissance, "And from the looks of things they all look like kids...just like us."
"I don't like the idea of fighting kids," says Iceman.
"Some of the Brotherhood are kids, Bobby, like Quicksilver and the Scarlet Witch," the Beast says, "We have to fight them all the time."
"I don't like fighting them, either!".
"Marvel Girl, maybe you should stay back and wait for more information," Cyclops says.
"Cyclops, I don't need your protection, I'm as capable a member of the X-Men as Angel or Beast or any of you," Marvel Girl says, "Please don't coddle me just because I'm a girl."
"That's not the only reason he's codd---" Iceman starts.
"Ahem," Angel says, "Our foes are heading this way!".
"Okay Titans, they look young, like us, but don't underestimate them, they're dangerous, from all I've heard," Robin said.
"Are you sure they're bad guy?" Aqualad asked. "They don't look evil."
"Evil can be deceptive. Not all monsters look like monsters. Wonder Woman warned me once about her enemy Circe," Wonder Girl said. "She's very beautiful, but very wicked."
"And besides, these X-Men are all over the newspapers. They're a menace. They all say so," Speedy said. "They couldn't print it if it weren't true."
That's not a starting area. You still have to be all in the purple. And I think we still get the full compliment of 3 objects, even if the map is small, no?
Iceman should show a feat. Do you mind if I add protected to him and for that matter change Cyclops to protected as well? (Gets me to 30 points in feats, my allowance). I'll give you the turn to review that.
And I'll start right away, Jean tks Beast to I5. He'll use vendetta on Aqualad. Needs 8 -1 for vendetta, rolls 11. Don't even need my pc. 2 to Aqualad and Beast gets to finish his movement (halved) and goes back to K6.
"Come on, Titans! You take on one of us you take us all on!" Robin said.
"Aw yeah, now that's what I'm talking about!" Kid Flash said, running up the attack the Beast. The Beast's agility was awesome, but to someone like Kid Flash, he looked like he was moving in slow motion. It was simple to deliver a series of high-speed blows that left young Hank McCoy dazed and vulnerable to one of Robin's batarangs.
"Hank!" Jean cried out as her friend fell.
"Looks like we've got revenge for Aqualad down. Time to go on the offensive against the rest of them." He shot an arrow at Cyclops. The X-Man shot it out of the air, but it was a little too close a thing for his liking.
