For the seventy-fourth episode, join Adam Chapman (comic reviewer for Comics & Gaming Magazine, cXPulp.com) and his guests Nathan Struk and Leon Orellana as they sit down to talk Video Games.
For this new episode of Talkin' Video Games, we discuss recent video game news, our thoughts on Injustice Gods Among Us (prior to the release of the game), ruminate on the classic Sim games, such as Sim City, and talk about what games we're currently playing and enjoying.
Great show as always. I just wanted to say that you need to do a full episode on iron man 3. I want to hear your opinions on it because I was left extremely disappointed. I felt it was almost a joke to comic book fans. I don't know I could be way off. Thanks again.

You're in luck. I believe that Adam is going to watch iron man 3 tonight and then come home to immediately do a post movie discussion.

This is Leon by the way

Leon totally beat me to it. The next non-reviews episode of Comic Shenanigans, Episode 76, will be our Spotlight on Iron Man 3 episode, going up on Wednesday May 8th. It will likely feature myself, new guest Tibor Mate, and potentially returning guest Paul Skorez.
Sorry to hear that you were disappointed by the film, I'm still pretty pumped to see it, although now a bit more wary.
Another great episode. I perhaps don't comment as much as I should, but I really appreciate the consistency with which you keep the content coming - they're great listens, and I really enjoy the casual but insightful looks into various facets of geek culture.
For this episode, I'm grateful for your filling my head with ideas for gaming. I get little time for video games but it's nice to know what like-minded folks are enjoying for the rare opportunities I get to jump on board. I like Nate's idea of a "tiered" or "league-style" fighting game as a way of representing characters with different power levels fighting each other - it also got me thinking that a similar system might be a fun option for games build around assembling teams to take on various threats (think Ultimate Alliance, but better); where you might be encouraged to assemble a more street-level team to infiltrate the operation of the Kingpin, but need to bring out the big guns when Ultron shows up. I can imagine trying to infiltrate The Hand with a team including Hulk and Thor and they just disappear into the shadows, so you'd actually lose by bringing too powerful a team. Eh, just riffing.
Also, congrats on buying a new house - that's pretty awesome. Hopefully it's not too far away!

Thanks for the comment! At the end of the day, I'm just glad you enjoy the show, and have given some great feedback over the past 8 months. Plus, it's always a blast to have you on the show. I look forward to our next recording session in just 9 days.

That'd be a great concept for a game, basically forcing you to use characters who would actually be appropriate for a mission and not just those that are the best or most powerful (ie Hulk). I'm curious if we'll ever actually get another Ultimate Alliance-ish game. The first was pretty awesome, the second just had some issues that aren't insurmountable by any means.

Thanks Tom! We're pretty stoked. If you're available on Saturday July 20th, we'd love the assistance in helping us move. Between Kelly being pregnant and my energy issues, we need all the help we can get! We're actually moving to Eglinton/Dufferin, so not even that much of a move (and closer, I think).
As an addendum to this episode, I did end up purchasing Injustice: Gods Among Us, and I was far too harsh in my initial discussion of the game and it's storyline. I found the game fairly enjoyable, all told.
I know I'm a little late to the party, but you guys echoed my exact thoughts on DRM and always connected games. In short, I hate the idea and voice my opinion by not buying games that require it. In the end, if you dont like a product or practice, you have to vote with your wallet. Great show as always guys!
