I hear people dissing the Teen Titans set often, every time they do I mention this piece. This is the type of piece you love to see in a set and hate to see your friends pull. I'm hoping my case has one. And as gfish said: Gencon piece.
Another good piece for Justice League teams. Pair him with FF SoG Oracle to help him get into positioning to make the most of his special power. HSS, good combat values, and a cheap point cost easily makes him a good secondary attacker. But if you think this guy brings anything "Gencon" worthy then I don't know what to tell you. If you're at Gencon and your team can't lock down someone with HSS after the new rules drop or can't bust opponents that use stealth then you deserve your early exit.
THIS doesn't rep the Ray we know and love. The Ray who landed naked in the italian market (go philly) and got laughed at by the womens. Now THATS the Ray.
The human bomb and uncle Sam are going to love this dude for giving them stealth! This guy is a direct reference to the old veteran. Seriously go look at the vet dial and compare it....this guy is cheap enough to be an easy addition on any team. He can hypersonic 12 squares and crack defenses with his three damage. His phasing and pulsewave are his best clicks! Pure light form! I love his high 17dv with regeneration and shapechange. Energy shield deflection gives him a 19 defense, and his attack values are amazing for his point cost!
My only negative view would be his horrid range (the old vet had a 10) and the lack of range combat expert. In those low damage clicks it wouldn't hurt to slap rce on a couple of clicks.
If I used him with jl52 fury, would it be possible to draw a line of fire to fury because giants are treated like they're on elevated retain?
Giants can draw lines of fire to, and have lines of fire drawn from, as if they occupied the least restrictive elevation. If a giant has or is given stealth, you can draw a line of fire to him as if he's on elevation 2-2000....as long as he occupied terrain he would still be in stealth. If hindering was just inbetween both figures for lof.....then a figure that's on let's say...elevation 2 could see him.
this was always my favorite piece from this set. i once had two of them and played them together and they wrecked. i think this piece could still hold up in today's game even.
