As if his 1000 point and 600 point dials weren't ridiculously good already....allowing him to be played at 200 is a slap in the face for any competitive player who fights him! He heals every turn, and has the monster keyword. Mystics/power cosmic...this guy is insane! I feel that this 200 point dial is the perfect depiction of the marvel v.s. capcom Shuma. Not to powerful, but if used correctly he could piss alot of people off. I like how his special is a tiny version of Multiattack from five squares away.
If you REALLY want to win. Shuma-200, mole man-47 and donald blake.
Mole man allows him to essentially have a free action via his mind control. Activate his tentacle attack for 8 damage then give shuma an action to activate it for yet another 8. Shuma at 200 points could essentially deal 16 damage in one turn. 18 if you roll two critical during flurry. Wow.....just wow.
Shuma's Tentacle Attack is for Incapacitate. No damage is dealt when he use it...
Yes...you are absolutely correct. And I thought I included this in my previous post but I can see that I didn't. Dark god of the universe and tentacle attacks titles should be switched. Using flurry five squares away sounds alot like a bunch of tentacles smacking an opponent about. The free incap seems it is shuma trapping his prey in the cancerverse and thus I truly believe the names of the trait and power were accidentally switched. Sorry for the confusion..but as you can see "dark god of the cancerverse" is like shumas mini Multiattack. Which was the original point I was making.
Just realized something, his tentacle attack states "shuma can use incapacitate, when he does he targets 5 characters from 5 squares away and line of fire and have action tokens" meaning if he targets characters that have one token then he's dealing 5 pushing damage. (Assuming they don't have willpower ) OR if he targets 5 characters that have two tokens he's dealing 5 penetrating damage with the new rules! Whoo hoo! So not only is he dealing a potential 12 damage with flurry...he's also dealing another damage totaling out a possible 13 clicks! 17 if you count each of the 5 damage individually. 17 damage from a 200 point character is unheard of. Good god....I think the designers MORE then made up for the lack of the Multiattack ability!
this is one of my new favorites to play in 300. His dial is great, and the free healing is excellent too! 5 stars for sure, and the movable eye is an added bonus!
He's great at low point levels. The auto healing coupled with the Colossal Stamina and the flurry out to 5 squares really adds up. I played him in a Titans minimap tournament and cleaned house. This is one I'll be running quite a bit.
To be honest I always thought this dial was a tad bit weak for 200 points. I was nervous to use him today in a large point game. I played the 200 point shuma dial, 240pt mephisto, 217 nightmare, 249 Dr. Doom and mole man. Would you believe shuma stole the show? He was a lower point cost and dealt ALL of the damage to the other two opposing players. Shuma koed a marvel anniversary Magneto (the one with the bubble) a Fear itself Colossus/juggernaut figure and just about EVERY Monster figure from the amazing spiderman set including Dracula and frankencastle. I felt dirty....for destroying with a 200 point shuma I felt bad. If played correctly and with the help of some extra actions via mole mans mind control...shuma is a monster. It came down to my team finishing off my opponent and slowly moving to where the other two players were fighting. They teamed up on me. Shuma and his team creamed all three teams.
This might be my favourite click ever made. Thats how amazing it is. The healing with trait flurry and the ability to close combat from 5 squares away is just amazing. I used him in a tourney with the Book of the Skulls to give him charge. It was brutal. What really puts him over the top is the free action Incapacitate for up to 5 opposing characters with a token. Since it is a free action I kept doing it before healing one damage, then Colossal stamina pushing to attack to get back to free incapacitate for the next turn. Rinse and repeat.
The sculpt is probably one of the best in Clix. Articulate eye? Incredible. My only wish is that he was in B-Boy Stance. Mystic Stare!

I agree, also with back from a 50pt CWFF Scarlet Witch with Nul's hammer and a ASM Wong with Skadi's hammer, makes an interesting 295pt mystical theme team. I tried it and it's and absolutely brutal OP team.
