That's how I have always played it also but they are saying because the wording on outwit says until next turn because of the wording.
WK has been moving a lot of things from the PAC to the rulebook. It makes more sense, actually, although we need to get used to checking the blanket rules as opposed to seeing something removed and assuming the old effect no longer applies.

Game effects remain a part of the game only as long as the character continues to possess the power or ability. If a power is countered or lost, all game effects of that power or ability immediately end but any actions already in progress are resolved normally.
Visible Dials and Pushing Damage need to be optional. This is the way.

Thank you. I knew I wasn't going crazy and they made the right call after they checked the rulebook.

What about the superman enemy? That does last until until your next turn no matter what right?
Superman EnemyWhen two friendly characters that can use the Superman Enemy team ability are adjacent to each other, the character with the higher point value may be given a free action to immediately use Outwit. That character can use Outwit until the beginning of your next turn, if it cannot use Outwit already and continues to use this ability. If the two characters have the same point value, their controller chooses which is treated as the higher point character this turn.

Not no matter what, but has long as they continue to use the Super Man enemy team ability, it would last until their next turn.
If they were, for example, a wild card, copied the TA, used outwit, and then switched to a different team ability, then the outwit would end.

What if the wildcard was the character of smaller point value and the bigger pointed one actually had the TA. If the smaller one changed his TA with his wildcard after the bigger pointed character used the TA outwit, would the Outwit still go away?
Also, what if you Outwit and power and then get healed through support or Regen, does that Outwit stay or go away?

No, if the higher point character retains the TA you would not lose the outwit if the smaller character switched team abilities afterward.
If you outwit a power and then are healed it depends on whether or not you still have outwit afterwards. If you do retain outwit, the power remains outwitted, if not then no.

Important point on this because a lot of figures have this: When healing or taking damage, the newly revealed power has to be exactly the same in order for its duration to not end.
What I mean is if you're currently showing a regular Perplex or Outwit, use it, and then have to turn your dial, the new click must also be the regular Outwit or Perplex and not have it be a special power that allows you to use Outwit or Perplex. Even though the effect is the same, it's technically no longer that power so the original effect will end (and you won't be able to activate it again as you're already used that ability).

I believe the bolded portion is incorrect: if you possess Outwit on your current click, use it, then take damage revealing an SP allowing the use of Outwit, you can then use Outwit a 2nd time during the same turn.
Before the wording on Superman Enemy TA changed, under the correct circumstances it was possible for a Wild Card character to use Outwit 3 times during the same turn.

That may have been the case in the past but that's no longer true. Outwit is Outwit regardless of the source it's coming from. If the source states that you have "Outwit" then the game will not allow you to activate it more than once a turn regardless of where it's coming from.

Agreed. Although Ultraguy moving the dial off of Outwit onto "Not So Fast" (Ultraguy can use Outwit) will cause the original Outwit to end, it will not allow Ultraguy to use Outwit again that turn. The same applies to PC and Perplex.
There was a time, though, that Outwit through different sources was treated as different things (and that pesky "can't activate the same game effect" rule didn't exist). Harpua I believe had a scenario where the same figure could use Outwit some absurd number of times in the same turn.
I can explain it to you, but I can't understand it for you.

I had somebody asking about losing normal outwit and gaining SP outwit, and had trouble explaining it. Can anyone link me to the original explanation or rule that explains why the outwit ends?

I don't have a link, but I recall a discussion about that, and it revolved mostly around this line from the Rulebook:
If a power or ability is countered or lost, all game effects of that power or ability immediately end, but any actions already in progress are resolved normally.
We will use ih014 Leader as an example.
On Clicks 1-3 he has a Power: I CAN'T STOP YOUR BRUTE STRENGTH, BUT MY MIND IS FAR SUPERIOR: The Leader can use Outwit. Once per turn, if he uses it to counter a power or ability that isn't a defense power, he can immediately use it again to counter another power or ability that isn't a defense power.
On Clicks 4-6 he has Outwit.
He is on Click 3, uses Outwit and counters a power, then attacks someone with the Mystics TA and takes damage to Click 4. He loses ICSYBS,BMMIFS, so his use of Outwit to counter ends, since he lost that power.
On Click 4, he gains the power Outwit. He cannot use Outwit to counter something else, because he already used a Free Action to activate Outwit:
A character may not activate the same game effect twice in one turn with free actions, unless the game effect indicates otherwise.
Outwit and a Special Power granting the use of Outwit are still considered two separate powers.
