Spaulo on behalf of the HCO community I offer you a full refund of 50cb's. You are a mainstay on HCO and it will not be the same without you. Come back online and I will gladly refund your 50cb's. I understand your concern with HCO customer service and I support you...but our community is about us and you are one of us...so come back please.

Absolutely not. It's a great gesture Howard, but the CBs are coming from you, not HCO. You're simply giving HCO an "out" by doing this. There's no reason for them to change if a select few are going to cover their rear ends all the time.
The only way anything will change with HCO is if there are enough people who say "I'm done". Maybe, just maybe HCO will reach a point where they actually give a #### about their customer base.
There are 542,000 children in foster care. Talk to your local foster and adoptive agency. You could change a life.

Yeah I know but damn. I actually was a part of this and know what occurred. Spaulo is Portuguese and his English is not so good. I feel obliged to let people know exactly what occurred and why Spaulo is so upset.
Spaulo and I entered a Shard tourney. I won my first match and he played against Quebbster. Quebbster won but by both parties admission it was a bug that caused a loss. Quebbster;s team was making use of the Avengers's ATA. The ATA though was bugged and was granting a plus one attack to its holder regardless if another friendly figure was adjacent. So on the last action of game and Spaulo had a Thor on his last click. Quebb attacked and missed but was granted the plus one attack which ko'd Thor to win the game.
I then played Queb's team and we had a epic battle, but the same thing occurred. He was able to ko my witch with his last figure on a 3rd prob attempt that actually missed but was given the plus one attack and therefore hit. The next turn he ko's my Bullseye who had been pushed and waiting to move. My witch should have been alive and Bulleye should never had been able to be attacked. Advantage at that point all mine as I simply perplex his witches damage down every turn forcing him to attack witch twice to win whilst taking mystic damage and of course moving Bullseye out of his range and attacking over and over.
Refunds were denied, points adjusted were denied, and of course the shard was given to Quebb along with the le prize. All three of us submitted bug reports and all three of us confirmed what occurred. HCO is looking into the bug.
So that is why Spaulo quit the game. I think that was also very similar to what occurred to you Hair. All my friends that were here a year ago have pretty much left the game. Mostly due to stuff like this. I suppose the people that are online now wont be here a year from now after they experience everything that we have.

Very similar to what happened to me... a modifier bug.

It's freakin' ridiculous. These bugs impact the outcome of the game yet HCO's response is just "you were able to participate"... like it's some damn grand privledge to spend our money and get boned by a bug.

I was pretty excited about the Shard tourneys. Not that I ever thought I'd win the whole thing (I don't have time to play that much) but just that it was a cool concept. Now? Don't care. HCO doesn't care about me as a customer so why should I give two flips about them?
I just traded off over 1000 CBs for some physical figs. I'll sell the figs and get some cash. What did HCO get? Nothing. They certainly didn't get any $50+ from a player who needed some CBs. And that's how HCO will end... a few hardcore people spending the last of their CBs, trying to recoup some in the auction house which won't happen because all of those last few hardcores will already have it all. Everyone else will have already left because of HCO's piss poor excuse for customer service.

Like Hair as said, you do not have to spend your $$ for the incompetence of others, in this case the hco.
I do not think they'll be back to enjoy the people and we do not deserve to be enjoyed by people like that.
I know I'm bad in English but yesterday by irritation did not think what I wrote.
They not only had to return the $$ as they should apologize for that long walk with mistakes and doing nothing, they do not understand that hco only works if you have satisfied customers.
So I give up and I thank you guys and all the customers
I'm standing by to see if Hcrealms create a new application.
I submitted a bug report after the tournament mentioned above, and got a response yesterday where they asked me to list all the teams involved, including ATAs and objects. So apparently they are at least trying to make sure it doesn't happen again.
I have never had a bad experience with the customer service so far, but then again I have not had to submit the sort of complaints other have. With all three of us confirming the story it should be clear that some form of compensation would be in order.

Does their system really not keep track of this sort of thing? When three players report the same bug, they should just be able to pull up logs of who played, what they played, and even a turn-by-turn run down of what happened.
All the players should have to do is alert them that a bug happened, and the who/what/when details.

I don't know if they keep track of what happens in game. I know once I was supposed to play the second round in a tournament, but the game did not start and I was instead watching two other people play a game for some reason. When I reported the bug they were able to determine that it was because my opponent had joined another tournament queue in the meantime, which you are not supposed to do. Since I was online and willing to play, I was awarded first place then. I don't know if they can see what goes on in the game itself though, or what teams you play etc...
One thing that complicates matters is that normally you submit a tournament ID so they can check the details on that particular tournament, but for the War of the Shards games the ID number does not show for some reason. Makes it tricky to pinpoint the exact issue.
Even if the event I'd doesn't show, they should be able to look up a player's history in the database. Hopefully it's just a question that their support people are required to ask 'just in case', and isn't really needed most of the time.
I've always wondered about the disparity shown in the in-game event log and what actually happens.
I hear quite a lot on here about glitches and bad interfaces on this game and have to say, apart from the odd "blue sky" at the start of a match which always corrects itself, I have rarely had cause to complaint. I play about 1-5 games online daily and have found the staff to be helpful. That being said I only ever enter about 2 tournaments a month and I do view running tournaments and see all the same names entering so if you are playing 15+ tournaments a month you will find that increases your chance of facing a glitch. This game is programmed and maintained by a handful of people not Microsoft or Sony. I for one love this game the way it is although I haven't lost 200CB being screwed over.
PS im not a programmer or GM in disguise, I just feel this argument needs some balance.

For me the problem is not in error, although much time has not yet been resolved.
The problem lies in poor service to customers. they do not respect or reward customers for damages.
Spaulo if you do end up leaving HCO for good you will be missed. You have been a positive presence in the HCO community. I really would hate to see you go.
