I read the post about quitting or the problems with it, but i was wondering is worth it to start playing. I just want it to play fun games, I not trying to be competitive on HCO, I have enough of that in real life.
If you have a few bucks and a few hours to spare, why not? It's a bit clunky, but it's fun as well. There are nice people, and there are jerks. It's just like regular Clix.
I'd stay away from tourneys. After a year and a half there are still too many problems there to drop real money on them. I'd feel differently if there was some reasonable expectation of getting a refund if something goes wrong, but sadly there isn't.
Its fine for casual play, but don't drop a ton of cash on it. I honestly don't know how they've paid to keep it running this long with so few users.

The initial $2 then maybe $10 (200CB) on top will get you a decent number of figures from auctions. When you start you can choose either the blackest night or fantastic four starter and the other one you didn't choose will cost you 39CB in store. A lot of figures go for 1CB in the auctions so $12 will get you maybe 100+ figures so not bad.
As for clunky and glitchy, I don't experience that very often.
I really enjoy playing on HCO. I can't really play live so it's the only way for me to get my "fix". I'd definitely suggest you check it out.
As far as the refund policy goes, I played in a tournament this weekend. There was a bug with one of the clix.A requested a refund and I just got an email granting my refund. I'll definitely be putting those bux into a tournament tonight.

And that's the biggest problem with HCO. No consistancy. Sometimes you get a refund, sometimes the powers that be deem you not worthy of a bug.
A refund should be granted EVERY SINGLE TIME in a tourney where a bug is encountered. It should be black and white, no grey areas.
This is why I won't give HCO any more of my money. I won't participate in any tournaments nor buy any more CBs.

I am actually taking this as a sign that the policy has been fixed. It seems like it was fine for a long time, they tried to change it, it didn't work so they switched back. I didn't want to say this in my original post as it is all speculation on my part.
Well, if its "fixed" they need to let everyone know. There should be a standard published policy. Until there is, and until they let us know, they've lost this customer.
