Hi all,

At Good Games Burwood (and Tin Soldier before that), when time comes we tell everyone that it's last turn, meaning that both players get to finish one more full turn.

This however does cause situations sometimes where after time, and last turn, is called some people (some may say methodical, I say that they hate judges) still take another 20 minutes to finish the game.

I know the official rules talk about the game ending immediately at time and I was wondering if other judges are playing that way in A/a, and if so, how well it's working for you.

Is anyone playing a different way completely?

At our venue we call "final action" which means - as suggested - that the player whose turn it is when time is up is allowed to make one final action (not including free actions).

at our venue the judge calls time then the second player finishes there turn then they both get an extra turn, which is very fair
