-1 for each friendly character using this team ability. Reduce the
minimum range value by the same amount, but no lower than 1.
The maximum/Minimum squares is determined after all adjustments are
applied.
Since this is a modifier, would these not be subject to the rule of three?
so how would hydra even get to minimum of 1 square?
Other effects may cause the minimums to be reduced. I can't think of any at the moment, but there may be some in the future. It's best to have that wording in there just in case.

Ignoring the change to the min though, I'm guessing the rule of 3 still comes into play.
So if you have outwit and a range of 7 the lowest you go to is 4.
Since a minimum isn't a combat value I'm guessing that can decrease below 3 (sorry people with a printed 0 and outwit).
The rule of three only applies to combat values. Minimum range is not a combat value so it may be modified by more than three.

I hesitate to call a minimum value a replacement. Replacements and modifiers are applied to a value first, then the final result is compared to the minimum value. The minimum value is only applied if it is greater than the final result, and not normally affected by modifiers.
Exactly, range is a combat value. Minimum range value is not range. It is a completely different game effect that is not a combat value.

Yeah, but if the character didn't have range say Madame web, she would now only have a range of 1.
So it can really hurt the characters that do not have range, and it makes sure your three Hydra guys against a range 7 character knock them down to 4 instead of 6
