Alright - apologies if this has been asked before - however a search revealed nothing like this...
Can Atrocitus by way of his trait give Galactus - Eater of Worlds Battle Fury, and thereby keep Galactus from being able to engage in ranged combat?
There doesn't seem to be anything in Galactus' Special rules to suggest that he cannot be given Battle Fury, and if you are playing scenario rules, it would seem that Galactus would then be completely nerfed. So... can you? If not, why?
We played a Galactus scenario tonight and this came up. The rules didn't seem to cover it, so we decided that the Atrocitus trait went against the "spirit" of the scenario. I continued to be curious, nonetheless.
Keep in mind that will only "nerf" Galactus until he squishes Atrocitus, and BF doesn't prevent Pulse Wave.
I can explain it to you, but I can't understand it for you.
“No matter how subtle the wizard, a knife between the shoulder blades will seriously cramp his style.”
Keep in mind that will only "nerf" Galactus until he squishes Atrocitus, and BF doesn't prevent Pulse Wave.
Correct - but unless I'm reading the Scenario rules incorrectly - Galactus cannot move in the scenario. He would not be able to "squish" Atrocitus if he cannot move. All he could do is pulse wave, and only of course when he has that power on his dial.
Keep in mind that will only "nerf" Galactus until he squishes Atrocitus, and BF doesn't prevent Pulse Wave.
Battle Fury does prevent the Pulse Wave attack. But Atrocitus's power that gives BF will be ignored by the time the attack is made if he is one of the targets of the PW attack and so there will be no BF it prevent the PW attack.
