I think the reason Colossal figures don't get giant reach is because (with the exception of the Stranger) all of them are 2x2 or larger bases. So their reach is reflected in their base size.

My opinion is that their bodies are even bigger than those of Giants,
so they do need bigger bases, and their arms (and legs) are longer ,
so they still need to be able to punch (and kick) two squares away.
Read my signature, I have been calling for it for years.

Um, you don't have a signature showing up.

I dont think the base size matters. A bigger base doesn't extend your range or movement any. It also allows more characters to base you and take you down much quicker than a giant.
Now if the movement rules allowed you to count and end movement from any square your base occupies then that would be a little different. But I agree with Tom. They should have some sort of reach or augmented movement to account for it.
If I am not mistake a looonngg time ago you could count movement from any square and end movement from any square your base would occupy which I think could extend your movement by about 2 squares. This worked with "Peanut" bases and 3x6 base characters as well.
I could be wrong, and usually am. <--- that should be my signature.
For those unaware of Justice League: Generation Lost, it was a companion title to "Brightest Day." Members of the old JLI were trying to track down the back-to-life Maxwell Lord, who had used his mind control powers to make the world forget who he was. The JLI members, however, were not affected by the mindwipe. So, it's pretty cool how thematic the ATA is to the storyline.

You might find a locked thread in General Discussion that had the details from last week.
Matter-EaterLad Snack List: Time Gem, Remaker
Etrigan Prime Transformation List: Blackhawk Pilot, Per Degaton
I have had the same sig for a couple years,
then the new PAC comes out with different Smoke Cloud and Mind Control,
so I took those items off about a week ago.
Then I make a post that references my sig,
and for some weird reason my sig is invisible in that post.
All my other posts show my sig,
even newer posts.

Actually, it does extend your range in a way, by allowing you to choose among different squares to start counting from. If I can count from square 12e or 12f, I have a greater effective range than a character that can only count from 12e.

It worked that way for peanut bases, but to my recollection, it's never worked that way for any other base type.

another great cast. I've made it my mission to play all these ata's that I can within the month after they came out (I've knocked out 8-10). so far the one I've had the most success with was Heroes for Hire. my buddy never saw Ghost Rider carrying double-tokened Colleen and Misty with UB as a huge threat. he was gravely mistaken.

check out the Heroclix tournament series i created ( NOW in its 2nd year)
may be mistaken but the wording of wild cats ata wouldn't prevent crit miss cause it says when a single die is a one you may re-roll that die where as when you crit miss both dice show up as one
Hello fellows! Great show! I listened to it until 2:30am in the morning and finished the remaining 28 minutes I had this morning! I really enjoyed your discussions on the remaining ATA's and your discussion on the constitution of "cheese" teams sparked my interest.
I have been playing/collecting Heroclix for one year and two months now and I myself create teams based completely from my own iterations and no one else's. However, I suppose I was raised to not ever even view a team as being "cheese". I feel that if a piece is legal and someone is using these pieces to the best of their ability than so be it. I myself can either learn from the experience and attempt to adapt to win the next time I play those pieces or I can kick rocks. On the matter of people copying and emulating other people's previously created teams is totally on them as a player. Perhaps they don't feel confident enough in their own team building skills that they must rely on others for their creativity. Don't they say imitation is the sincerest form of flattery? I guess I just don't like labels and when people are talking about playing "cheese" teams we should spend less time labeling "cheese" and spend more time figuring out how to take the "cheese" down.
