I'm very new to the game and still have much to learn. I don't have a ton of modern clix yet other than what my boyfriend graciously gave to me as they weren't essential to his teams or what I purchased on my own in a few booster packs. I did well on the first two booster packs (TT) I ever purchased, got Starfire super rare in one, and the black fire in the other.
But I digress.
So my main team now consists of: #047a Starfire
#008 Nightwing
#016 Batgirl
Obviously what I currently do with this team is use Star to carry nightwing while she running shots, then place him between her and her opponent as a shield; nightwing utilizes flurry, close combat advantages, as well as the defense mod from star. Additionally, the batgirl is used to chill in hindering while she perplexes Nightwing's defense up (or the atacker near him's defense down, making NW's defense either a 19 or formidable 20. I've also noticed that her gooperangs and Star's energy explosion work nicely together for finishing off opponents.
Obviously this team isn't perfect, but does anyone have any suggestions as to how I can maximize a Starfire/Nightwing team? I want to start buying some key pieces to make solid teams for when I play against more seasoned players as I am still very much a novice. There's so much with modern clix it can be a bit overwhelming and confusing when brainstorming teams.
My other question is a bit more......broad. I also have in my position the Nightwing/batgirl chase dual clix. It's an excellent piece that I really want to use for games, but I'm having a lot of trouble figuring out how to get the most bang for my buck ability/unit wise.
Sorry for writing a novel, and I really will appreciate any input regarding my team.

You actually have a pretty good 300pt team there. The big question is how much do you care about the "theme team" bonus from everyone sharing a keyword.
If you want to keep the couple together your best bet would be Teen Titans, if not Batman Family keyword is really good specially with the new ATA. I have a bunch of builds saved just let me know how many pts.

Thanks for replying! I really don't care about the theme team, but I do care about utilizing starfire's ability with any piece named nightwing (he was the piece I just happend to have access to, and his close combat abilities just made her running shot carry plus her special with him more interesting. I'd be open to switching that out for another nighting and/or finding a more productive piece to use with my team other than batgirl.
The starfire I use is 134 points I believe (I'm typing this from work) and the nightwing I can start on a 72 or a 60, but I generally start him on his lower option.
This is a pretty good 300pt team. It comes out to 291 so you can add some special objects or something. The cool thing about this Nightwing is that he is also a wild card so he can copy Teen Titans team ability that way him and Starfire can heal each other.

The Streets of Gotham Starfire is also really good, but she doesn't have the Nightwing boosting trait. However SoG Starfire is only 80 something points which will let you add more to your team while still having her and Nightwing on it.
Yeah I know what you mean. I just figure I ought to build a decent team around her as she is arguably the best piece in my possession. Thank you so much for suggesting the beast boy . I'm sure he will fit perfectly in my team
