So I only loosely follow the Justice League books. I haven't read Dark at all. Only read the first 4 of JLA and the first 9 of JL. I recently saw the big battle splash page online with Pandora in the center. Who is the character in the upper left corner just below Element Woman. Looks like he is fighting Madama Xanadu. At first I thought Dr. Light, but he's a bad guy and everyone in this battle is on one of the Justice League teams. Thanks for any input!
I'm pretty sure that is Dr. Light. We don't know what's up with him as he's pretty much been just revealed in the New 52 and gained his powers.
My personal guess is that they combined the Arthur Light character and the one woman Dr. Light.
Maybe he'll go crazy or something?
"Batman's voice was half the battle. It took me a while not to be rattled by it. And then I found out that he had to work at keeping Bruce's voice. Then I got rattled again." -Tim Drake
From what I have seen, Dr. Arthur Light isn't yet a bad guy. Based on who he was in the old universe, we can assume he probably will be, but all his appearances thus far have suggested he's a regular joe. As VSongs suggested, maybe something about getting his powers will turn him into the guy we expect him to be.
...now, if we can just get Professor Pyg confirmed.
Thanks for the info. When I first saw the image I was hoping it was the female Dr. Light, but then I saw a better image and realized it was definitely a guy. Guess we just have to wait and see how it plays out. Is he currently working with one of the Justice Leagues? Or is it too soon to know?
Dr. Light makes his appearance in Justice League 22, which came out this week. Great interpretation of his powers (all othe light goes out in any room he enters). Other than that, it's Arthur Light, scientist, though not as you knew him. I'll avoid revealing any further to avoid spoilers, but I am on board for Trinity War after said issue. Definitely an action-packed issue worth every penny, setting a great precedent for the 2-month event.
And Justice League Dark members are relevant, even in this issue. Good thing is I too only read the first 9 issues or so of Justice League & JL Dark and easily understood most of what was going on, with the only exceptions being the JL of America events referenced in this issue and female Atom.

No, this version of Dr. Light will not be turning into a villan....
Interestingly enough, nu52 Arthur Light is married with kids. And his wife appears to be of light complexion with black straight hair (based on a family photo). While on the phone with his wife, he refers to her as "Kim," so Arthur could technically be married to Kimiyo Hoshi, the female Dr. Light pre-Flashpoint.
Re-reading JL 22, it's interesting to see Xanadu's tarot cards revealed near the end with various characters involved in this story and the descriptions-
Cyborg: "The Grid"
Firestorm: "The Prison"
Green Arrow: "The Archer"
Catwoman: "The Thief"
Star Spangled Girl: "The Spirit"
Vibe: "The Misfit"
GL Boz: "The Miracle Worker"
Female Atom: "The Gameplayer"
Some are more obvious than others, but some of these seem to foreshadow events to be played (or "hands" to be revealed by the respective parties).
Female Atom seems very suspicious, IMO, but I haven't read any of the nu52 JL of A yet.
