According to the powers card (Mystics: When this figure takes damage from any attack, it retaliates with a magical blast that does one click of damage to the attacker. This point of damage is not reduced by toughness, invulnerability or impervious. All other special abilities act as normal.)
Is this an automatic 1 point, or do they have to roll to hit?
Is there a limit on range? Example, you have a mystic with 6" range and are struck by Booster Gold with 10". Do you hit him?
What about (to give a weird example) if someone perplexed a range beyond ridiculousness (ie 10" range and 4 perplexers. Do you hit them?
I am hoping I get an official ruling on this (stop arguments before they start)
1) It's an automatic 1 point hit. No roll to hit is needed.
2) No range limit. If Mandarin blasts from 12 squares away, he takes a click.
3) Even if Range is Perplexed to 30, the attacker takes a click.
Another good day at work. All the computers up and running. All employees happy and ready for tomorrow. All customers satisfied. All pigs fed and ready to fly."

Automatic hit

If they hit your Mystic, then the Mystic hits them back automatically

If they hit your Mystic, then the Mystic hits them back automatically... the real fun is when they hit your Mystic and/or a bunch of Wild Card figures with an Energy Explosion or Pulse Wave. Very messy...
In my day, we didn't have Heroclix. If you were being attacked by Superman with a 3d dumpster, you just had to hope you could outrun him.
I think your questions all have rather obvious answers. If space is wasted in the FAQ on these questions I will be dissapointed.
Of course its an automatic hit.
Range doesn't matter.

I believe so by what the ability says...

That last line makes it seem like you can use Supersenses on it.

I would lean toward no on supersenses. If mystics damage is automatic then there is no attack to dodge, much like FB or poison. It would help if mystics TA were clarified by stating whether it is an attack, it is somewhat unclear because it can only be activated during an attack action.
It would make more sense for it not to be an attack, which would avoid the problem of a mystic hitting a mystic and then damage bouncing back and forth until one of them is KOed
I have a fun question on the mystics TA. assuming you can turn off TAs in the same way as super powers, when is it legal to turn off a TA, such as mystics?
Not after the dice have been rolled to make an attack I would hope. Try not to critically miss with one of these guys

You can turn off the mystic ability at any time (but this does not mean mid-action as there is supposed to be no such time). So, you would not be able to do it after the dice have been rolled.
I don't understand your critical miss comment, I hope you don't mean that a mystic who critically misses would retaliate on itself for taking damage because that's not how I see it working. But I could have just misunderstood your comment.

"When this figure takes damage from any attack, it retaliates with a magical blast that does one click of damage to the attacker."
When you critically miss you are making an attack, take damage and are the attacker. While I agree with you Maestro in not seeing this as how the power is supposed to work it is how it is worded.
The question would be whether or not critical miss damage is considered taking damage from an attack, I think that it is not considered taking damage from an attack. But I can see why you would think it is.
Braden, is there anything in the rules to support your position?
Mine appears consistent with the rules. 1) It happens during the attack action, 2) an attack roll is made, 3) damage is applied during the action. 1 and 2 have been used repeatedly to define the conditions allowing a SS roll. If it weren't for the part in the critical miss rules that explicity states that you can't avoid the damage, then mastermind, invulnerability and toughness could all stop it.
