So, if I've got a character who possesses Invincible and a damage reducer what are the order of events when they are dealt damage? Here's the scenario:
I'm playing Greithoth at two hundred points and he attacks a character possessing Invincible, he chooses to copy it via his trait. He now possesses Invincible, and Invulnerability. Next turn (the opponent of Greithoth) Shoots back at him and hits. The character deals him four damage. Now is where it gets interesting. Is the damage reduced by two, turning it into two damage (through invulnerability) then halved to one (through Invincible)? Or the much more powerful alternative: is it halved to two, then reduced to zero?
My guess is that since they are happening at the same time you get to choose the order of events. Making this insane! If you choose to have it halved, then reduced the opposition will need to be throwing out five damage, only to have it turned into a measly one damage...
Anyways, what do you think? You choose? Does it not even work? Am I insane? Is it reduce halve, or vice-versa? I've honestly got no clue! Thanks for the help in advance! (and sorry for the long read for such a simple question)
You only get one OR the other.
from the pg:
"If a character could use multiple game effects that would reduce or ignore damage dealt, only one of its game effect can activate, to be decided by the character‘s controlling player."

Ooh... My mistake. I was under the intention that the wording only stated "If a character could use multiple game effects that would reduce damage dealt, only one of its game effect can activate, to be decided by the character‘s controlling player."
Damn... But ya' gotta' admit that would've been awesome!

That's actually been updated to include ignore effects in the 2013 rulebook.
