I was rereading some New Avengers (vol. 1) back issues, when I noticed something curious. It was in issue 55 or 56, when the bad guys deploy a power drainer and the whole team is incapacitated except for Mockingbird (who had no powers at the time). Bucky Cap being taken out was explained as his cybernetic arm being affected, but I never found an explanation why Hawkeye was affected. to the best of my knowledge, he is not enhanced, just a marksman and good fighter. I know he's been killed and resurrected a couple times, but does anyone know of any actual powers?
He used to use a bunch of Pym particles back in the day, but he stopped long ago. I feel like blaming it on that would just be making excuses for a plot hole.
If Bucky's arm was a reason for him being taken out, then why not Hawkeye's hearing aid? That's cybernetic
That's actually the explanation I'd go for. If the power drainer whatever affected Bucky Cap, then it should affect Hawkeye similarly.

Hawkeye has not used a hearing aid in a long time.
When he was "re-created" by Franklin during the "Heroes Reborn" bit, Frankling did not know Hawkeye used one and so Clint was recreated without the need for a hearing aid.
It's been mentioned in-story in the past.

See, that's what I get for skipping Heroes Reborn/Heroes Return. That'd ruin both excuses in this thread, then, since I highly doubt Franklin would fill him with residual Pym Particles on recreation, either. Consider it yet another continuity flub in New Avengers, then.

I thought that the hearing aid explanation was pretty good; didn't know he didn't need them anymore. But I guess getting killed and resurrected 3 or 4 times, it should have gotten fixed somewhere along the way. Thanks for all of the info.
