1) Argent - Like there could be any other choice for the best one.

2) Jack Moy & Gloden - Didn't mind this one at all.

3) Notorious B.I.G. & Bob Marley - First time I've ever bothered to listen to anything by Biggie Smalls, preferred the Bob Marley parts.

4) Macklemore - It was ok.

5) Ben Howard - stretching thins since this is actually Keep Your Head Up but YouTube listed it under the Hold title and I didn't look close.

6) Crimson Season - Meh.

7) Clawfinger - Blecch.

Ben Howard's video is blocked here, is this one the same song ?

And seeing a double necro song in the list made me smile - the Biggie & Bob one, both were dead when this was recorded. I'm also curious to see how I'll appreciate it, given that I hate Bob's music but love some of Biggie's songs.

1. Ben Howard - Nice tune
2. Macklemore - I liked this one more than I thought.
3. Jack Moy & Glöden - Another nice tune
4. Crimson Season - Reminds me of Papa Roach who I like sometimes.
5. Argent - The song I was most familiar with, but I'm not a huge Doors fan.
6. The Notorious B.I.G. & Bob Marley - meh, I wouldn't care if I heard it again.
7. Clawfinger - Anger! Arggh!! I keep picturing Beavis and Butthead screaming at the TV and making faces.

Out of this group there were only two songs I'd want to ever hear again. BUT, as always, thanks to the Captain for sharing and bringing new choices of bands for me to hear.

1. Argent – This was the first Argent song I’d ever heard. I was just about 14 and began getting my RnR water wings taken off and heard this. Great tune.
2. Crimson Season – NICE. I love the power chords riffing at the beginning. It laid the groundwork for some balls to the wall thumping bass and more power chords. I dug this tune.
3. Jack Moy & Glöden – the best of the rest
4. Ben Howard – Sort of nice. I don’t know…I wanted to like it, but really couldn’t.
5. Why did B.I.G. have to ruin a Bob Marley song? What an effing d-bag! This song would have scored lower if it didn’t have Mr. Marley on it.
6. Clawfinger – is just another in a succession of songs with vocalists who don’t sing anymore and it didn’t do anything for me.
7. Macklemore – NO.

Been away a bit the last couple of days, but hope to get to these today! And I echo the thanks for running these.

A farewell thread for a great singer/songwriter who died yesterday.

Jack Moy and Gloden - Really got into this one.

Ben Howard - I enjoyed this one. I don't think it will become an all time favorite, but it was pretty good.

Argent - good classic rock vibe to this one.

Macklemore - Hip-hop/rap isn't my favorite genre, but it could have been worse.

Crimson Season - a little heavy for my tastes, but it's melodic at least.

Notorious BIG with Bob Marley - Only the Bob Marley parts saved this from the very bottom

Clawfinger - about 7 seconds told me where I was going to rank this one. The rest of the song did nothing to change my mind. At least it was fairly short.

1- Crimson Season- Pleasant surprise here, hope they do more in the future.
2- Argent- Classically good.
3- Jack Moy & Gloden- I enjoyed this.
4- Ben Howard
