So I know colossals have improved targeting may make ranged combat attacks while base.

I wanted to see exactly who they could attack with a ranged attack though. Can they target anyone even the piece basing them with a ranged attack or can they only target not based pieces with ranged combat attacks?

Only figures they are not based with. Adjacent figures can only be attacked with a close combat attack.
