"A break away roll is required only when physically moving a character, who is adjacent to an opposing character, into a different square. If a character is given a move action but does not actually move (to pick up an adjacent object, for example), a break away roll is not required."
does this mean i can taxi my figure without a breakaway from an adjacent opposing figure to my taxi as long as i don't move my taxi from the square that he is originally in?! or is this just a badly written faq entry?
-----------------
also i asked this question in another thread but got no definite answer: can i stealth while soaring?
Nope, in the FAQ under flying:
"If a flier is hovering adjacent to an opposing character, it must successfully break away before it can pick up friendly characters or soar."
I made the same mistake on the wizkids boards and was shown the light.

Either they're gonna have to re-write the FAQs, or they're gonna have to come out with a FAQs on the FAQs.........
It does seem weird to me that they put these two things in there. I also don't like how the soaring bullet is put there as an exception to this as well (but at least it's in the same section, I never thought to go searching for break away rules elsewhere in the FAQ).
I'm hoping that the Indyclix rulebook (if it's a rewrite) will help but since it's probably already written and being tested, I don't think it'll have a lot of this in it.

V Thor (with RS and Super Strength) ends his turn adjacent to Black Panther with stealth on an object. On Thor's next turn can he, use the movement portion of RS to pick up an object (since he is not moving to a different square no break away is needed). The movement portion of RS will then be over, but now that BP is not on an object Thor can see him so can Thor now take a shot?

Yes, I guess you could say the character is moving but it's not to a different square (which the first part of the first breakaway bullet). I think they should have taken that first sentence out.

First, you would need to declare that Thor was using his running shot before he started to move so he would have to break away as soon as he announced that. Bottom line (from the FAQ):
"A character with the Running Shot power that begins its action in a square adjacent to an opposing character must break away before using the power"
If he succeeded in breaking away, he could then pick up the object and hit Black Panther with it.

You could not pick up the object because movement ends when you enter the square adjacent to the grounded, opposing character. An object needs to be picked up DURING the move phase of your action. Now a character with Leap/Climb or Phasing could do it though.
I think what he is asking is: If thor started b2b, ect.....
In that case, he would still need to breakaway, because the new entry in the FAQs specifically states that you still need to roll breakaway for a RS/Charge attack....
