So last year or the year before or somewhere in the not so distant past there were some issues with mike_houghton and selling on here. I've known Mike for awhile thru hcrealms and Gencon and what not. He got some negative feedback and was banned for selling/trading on here for a year I think it was.

Anyway, I'm friends with him on facebook, and noticed he sells stuff on there. Against my better judgement I bought a few things from WATX off of him. I knew I should of asked him to send first, but I thought there was no way he would mess around.

I paid him last Thursday. He said he would send Friday, but then said he couldn't, but said he would send Saturday. He sent me a tracking #, which the results just say "Electronic info received" it doesn't say USPS has gotten the actual package and it is in transit.

Since I made the deal with him I got packaged from the west coast already, so I know he didn't send.

He is ignoring my messages here and on facebook. I put in a paypal dispute, as I don't mess around with this stuff.

It's totally possible that the package will get here today, but I doubt it. I don't even care if he couldn't make it to the PO yet, what I care about is ignoring my messages - and continuing to post sale "threads" on facebook.

Just wanted to get the word out that if you are friends with him on there, or if he tries to sell you stuff thru PM's on here - don't do it. Lesson learned here.

Sorry Mike, I've always been cool with you, but ignoring me is pretty much the #1 thing that ticks me off when dealing with people. Send me my refund and take your figs and shove them.

Communication is the #1 thing in my opinion.

So many trades go bad because people are either bad at communicating, or just plain stop communicating. The flip side is that good communication can salvage what would otherwise be a trainwreck situation.

I won't name names, but I made a purchase on here somewhat recently that got all sorts of mixed up. There were delays in shipping, then I was shipped someone else's clix on accident. Nightmare right? It certainly could have been. But he kept me in the loop the whole time and was always quick to reply anytime I had a question or concern for him. Everything turned out smoothly in the end, and I was never worried because the seller kept me in the loop so well.

Sorry to hear about that man. I remember seeing a thread about him not too long ago and seeing his negative feedback. I did a quick search and don't see him in the members list. Did he get banned again or am I missing something?

He didn't get banned he was just online earlier.

The thing is I wouldn't even give a #### if he just was straight with me and kept messaging me back. I can handle there being some delay, even though I specifically told him I needed the stuff this week, it still would be ok if was later.

I have that happen to me, but I always let people know what's up.

To not respond to my message on facebook and here, when I can clearly see you on, and then post another "sell thread" on facebook this morning ticks me off to no end.

Seriously, How hard is communicating? Taking the 4 seconds to respond would solve all problems.

USPS tracking is silly sometimes though.

Totally agree that the tracking cannot be trusted 100%, but in this situation I'm trusting that USPS doesn't have it because one he doesn't get the benefit of the doubt because of his track record, and two I already got packaged from the west coast that were sent days after his. He lives like 2 states north of me.

I can totally understand that! Communication solves a lot of issues, but he's just being shady as far as I'm concerned.

I thought I was going to have a delay issue with someone recently because of the "electronic shipping received" thing. It said it for 1 full week. I checked it this morning and it fully updated for me and will arrive today.

I was relieved, and I hope the same happens for you in this case.

Yeah, I was having doubts about another trade, not mike, today since I made a bunch of deals and all the packages arrived except one. I checked the tracking number and it said the item was misshipped. There are errors in tracking, but I've never had an issue there. USPS has always done me a solid.

Uh yeah, and I've never dealt with him. I just read the threads expounding on his mishaps and added him to my "only if he sends first list".

Yea shame on me for thinking he changed I guess.

He is even using his girlfriends paypal. I'm sure she's excited to see my dispute email. Still finding time to post on FB to his venue telling them to order attack wing, but not to shoot me a message.

I don't even care about the figs, paypal will refund me pretty quick without a valid tracking #. Its blatantly ignoring me. Some people think they are invincible and can disrespect whoever they want, taking their money as a little loan to go buy xbox games. What goes around comes around.

And I almost feel bad getting up in arms only a week later, but this all could of been avoided with a simple "i couldn't send yet sorry." What a moron.

I just hope the people posting in his trade thread are aware of the 'lower % sends first' rule.

I think this thread or some sort of posting from the trade forum mods should be stickied for folks. Caveat emptor and all that.
