We have a monthly build contest for our podcast "Dial H For Heroclix". The rules are simple. We give you build rules for an event. The event is one that is upcoming at one of our local venues. You build us a team. You can give us ideas on how to play your team and ideas for map choice as well. The more information, the more likely we are to choose your team. We look through all your team submissions, and each pick one we like the best. We use your team during our tourney. Whichever of us does best in the tourney wins. The person who submitted the winning team build gets 6 custom poker chip action markers, featuring a comics logo of your choice (examples can be seen in my Albums). Submit team builds below, or to our email at [email protected]
September's Build Rules:
--"Savage Six" 600pts
--Modern Age
--Relics, Resources and ATAs Allowed
--Team Bases and Colossals NOT Allowed
--You Must Use Exactly 6 Figures On Your Team
CW Taskmaster + UB 12 pts
CW Baron Zemo
CW Hawkeye
CW Ant Man (perverted Ant Man as I like to call him)
CW Black Knight
ASM Shocker
Thunderbolts ATA- 48 points
600 points exactly
Probably one of my favorite teams to play. Preferable maps for this team should have as little blocking terrain as possible, but enough hindering to make use of the amount of stealth on this team.
Keep Taskmaster and Zemo adjacent; their leadership SP's work off of each other, and Taskmaster's will give nice boosts to all of your team. Ant Man is there as a nice meat shield and for the Shield TA, so keep him in close to Hawkeye(shouldn't be too big of a problem with his Voyeur SP).
Black Knight will be able to skirmish around the field, taxi other pieces, and harass the living crap out of your enemy. He's not very pushable though, so don't worry about doing anything crazy with him. Shocker is there for his SinSyn TA (pretty appropriate, actually, given the build format); giving all of your wildcards Hawkeye's 12 attack is just a beautiful thing. Finally, what you T-Bolt to will depend entirely on your opponent's makeup; if they have a bunch of up-close bruisers, go with Mystics, but if they're playing a stealthy team, run with Avenger's Initiative.
The belt goes on Taskmaster because he needs the willpower the most and can make great use out of the items that you give him, so roll out with your smoke pellets/grenades, batarangs, ect.
Energy Explosion will be somewhat difficult to deal with, so watch out for that, as you'll want to keep your team close together to make the most out of their synergy. Other than that, have fun!

The red crater-like map is an awesome one for a team like that, with the outer rim of elevated. It has some hindering but not a ton, and not a lot of blocking.

I'll have to try it out. I also found out that one of the Blitzkrieg maps is also a great map for them; long strands of hindering in the center perfect for almost your entire team to hide in, elevated running down one side of the map if you need to flank with some of your pieces (Black Knight is again a good one for this job, as he is a big enough nuisance that your opponent can't ignore him, yet you won't feel terribly bad about losing him) and just enough blocking down the other side of the map to secure your other flank and ensure that your opponent will have difficulties drawing a bead on you without opening himself up to attack if he decides to go that way.

Werewolf kill count: 20
2x ASM Ghost Rider, 1 with 13 point belt
2 Johnny Blaze
Misty Knight dial
Bro Voodoo
H4H ATA
600 Even
6 heroes tokens, potentially 4 ghost riders, voodoo brings someone into base with johnny's and they sharpshooter. Misty takes off tokens when needed, and the other 2 Ghost Riders ride along like the Sons of Anarchy! Really, any map will do but I enjoy the watchmen karnak map since the starting zones are closer and it eliminates the tk alpha strike against you.

Map - Realm of Death, Bizarro World, let's be honest. It really doesn't matter. The maps main purpose is to keep them from getting to you. Both of these can slow down your opponent getting to you. For you, the map is really there as a place to put down your figures. You have +6 to roll so you have a decent chance of taking your pick.
ATA - Went back and forth between BoS or X-Force ATA. Much like the map, the ability to ignore hindering isn't really much of a concern for this team.
Notes
- Spiral is there to do what Spiral does
- Fantomex can send EVA through the portal and shoot from the starting area. He can also run shot through it if necessary. EVA can outwit.
- Shatterstar can use his special with Rictor. Rictor can use his special, ranged, close combat quake for damage and to disrupt enemy formations.
- Nightcrawler can throw sharks into stomachs and take away powers and BAMF around
- TabApp Wolvie looks goofy but he's a pain to get rid of
- It should be a fast team so hammers are there for cleanup & to give improved movement abilities when necessary. Again X-Force ATA can be substituted for the hammers but half the team doesn't really need it.
Enjoy!
