I know there's a thread about "Marvel Heroes" - the Diablo-style MMO - over in the Video Games sub-forum, but wanted to toss this out for my fellow Mafians. Namely, is there any interest in putting together a Made Members supergroup (ie: "guild") in the game? Might be a fun way for us to blow off steam bashing up the villains.
We could either just play any style we want - I've a bad habit of slowly leveling up a bunch of characters at once - or it might be fun if each of us had one particular character as our "representation". (You could always play other characters outside the super-group). Actually more I think about it, the funne that mode sounds, especially if we had someone like Truff assign us our character for the supergroup. Characters run the spectrum from expected - Cap, Spidey, etc - to fun treats like Emma (suitably snarky) and Rocket Raccoon.
It's free to play and while chaotic at times due to the number of players that may be in an area, I've never ran into problems like ninja'ing of spawns (plenty to go around and frequent "calls to action" which reward everyone who shows up to take a swing or help out).
While I haven't leveled up anyone very far, I've plenty of things to help out anyone who wants to give this a whirl.
Edit: Ah. I should probably note - being there seems to be a fan or two of her - that Squirrel Girl is set to be released soon.

Good advice, I might do that on my weekend. BTW, my Steam ID is just my HCR ID. As always.
I try to be consistent in some things, at least.

Not true. It is a full software that you download and install on a PC.
The game is free to play. You get to choose from one of 5 free heroes when you first start. Those heroes are Scarlet Witch, Storm, Daredevil, Hawkeye and Thing.
Additional heroes and costumes can be unlocked by purchase through their cash store, or by using in-game currency. The in-game currency method requires quite a bit of grinding.
Aranatta is 100% correct. Download through steam to avoid headaches.
I think this is a cool idea. I can pay for the Supergroup setup fee if you'd like.

My mistake. I apparently misunderstood by what he meant by "web-based" or do you buy it. Being you don't purchase the game - unless you want to speed up to extra things - and download it from the web, I thought it counted as "web-based".

I was thinking web-based more like, a game you play using your browser. I could also be the one misinterpreting.
