Hi all,

Is it possible to use Super Strength while performing a Running Shot?

I don't know if any figures have that combination of powers, but is it possible to:

1) Pick up an object during a Running Shot if you have Super Strength
2) Throw an object during a Running Shot if you have Super Strength

If so, or if not, is there an official ruling anyway that proves or disproves this ability?

yes you can super strength and running shot, Thor is a perfect example. He can move, pick up an object, and running shot without using the object even if he bases another figure. It is a sweet little combo.

Im new to the game, so forgive me if this is a dumb question, but I thought the rules said that once you picked something up, you had to use it. You couldnt take any other attack action if you were carrying something, unless you used the object.

Was this ammended somewhere? I just want to make sure I have the rule correct (I like Thor, and if you are right, this makes him even better.)

Its one of the stupidest rules I have ever heard of but yes its true.

Once you grab an object you MUST use it in your next attack. END OF STORY.

Super Strength is Optional until the figure picks up an item. When a figure is carrying an item, it cannot drop the item so Super Strength is not optional in that regard. When a figure carrying an item makes a close combat attack it must use the item. A figure carrying an item may use that item to make a ranged attack with characteristics that depend on the item, ao figures that are carrying items may make normal ranged attacks, and according to Dr.Gandalf may also use RCE with normal ranged attacks while carrying items.

Crimson Dynamo is a good example of that. He can pick up an object, then on a later turn, he can make a normal ranged attack(not using the object) using RCE.

However, RCE cannot be used with throwing objects...

Could Dimitri (the LE) pick up the object and throw it all in one move using running shot. He's got both on his first click. Of course, it won't help you with damage, since a heavy object does 3 and so does his first click with running shot, and his natural range is better.

Yes, but it would be better to pick up the object on the way, and then take a normal ranged attack. That way he can smash it over the head of any figure that bases him.
