Today we kick off dial previews of the AvX X-Men Starter from the upcoming Marvel HeroClix: Avengers vs. X-Men organized play story line event. okay... he can see you though walls, but a some hiding skills and a bush still saves you?

i'm kind of bummed out he's not X-factor since i love his astonishing sculpt, but now I'm just anxious to see what the Avengers clix will reveal.

Now I liked the WatX Cyc but this one is great too. The Leadership power is great and I like the force blast power too, and his indom.

Very playable at either point cost even though he is bit top heavy.

The improved targeting arrow through circles means he can shoot out of adjacency?

Yeah, it's pretty silly. I'm not sure what's wrong with the current rules regarding destroying blocking terrain. I guess anything goes to make the games last as short a time as possible.

This is the point where I'm seriously considering just stopping, trimming my collection down and just hanging onto it for home games with friends and family. Doesn't look like the game is going to get any more balanced any more than we're getting new characters.

Short dial @ 100-pts is cause for concern, but really like the and SP's.

I expect ALL the AV/XM figs are going to provide a lot of bang-for-their-buck....

I sort of wish that his leadership power was restricted to the X-Men keyword, it's odd that he can take tokens off of other characters with the 'Ruler' keyword, which could be funny/annoying in high point games. Want someone that can take tokens off of Dracula, Worldbreaker, Darkseid or Dr Doom and Kang? Here ya go. How about Trigon?
Cyclops is just that good.

I don't mind shooting thru walls, but be able to outwit thru walls is another thing.

Yes, it does let him shoot non-adjacent characters while adjacent to opposing characters, and sharpshooter lets him shoot those adjacent characters.

so basically he can running shot to become adjacent to an opposing figure, shoot another opposing figure and then use force blast on the adjacent figure, quite nasty IMHO

I am still waiting for a 150+ pt captain america to go with the other avengers. He should be on par with Batman, and we have a 200 pt version of him. Aside from Ultimates cap, he hasn't crested 100 pts. That's not right.

This piece is pretty good though. Makes one wonder how they are going to compete with the versions that just came out last month, though. Especially Colossus and Mags.

Don't care because when Hope copies that leadership power and starts pulling tokens off of PF members Cyclops is totally worth the points.

chances are, cap will be 150 or more if cyclops is. these are supposed to be tentpole pieces of sorts for your monthly team.

Off to a good start. Seriously, theses dials better be good for the price!
