I often use the Android app when playing and I couldn't find a Windows based HeroClix app that can offer the same functionality. I have started to create one and was wondering if people would find it useful? If all goes well I could develop it for Windows phones and have it published in the Windows store.
Not on a Windows phone yet, might be, but I'm using Surface RT & Pro as day to day devices at this point. So a Win8, or regular desktop Windows app, would be great. Win8 for portability across RT & regular W8 would be great.

I'm running a Windows 8 desktop now (with touchscreen, no less) with plans to ditch this god forsaken iPhone as soon as my contract expires. Right now I'm jonsing hard for the Nokia Lumia 1020 Windows Phone. Jonsing....hard....!

My current plan is to make it work well on current Windows desktops and then to move it over to the Windows store and phones... hopefully. I am a self taught programmer but have had good success with projects in the past.
Any thing in particular you think should be part of the app?

The Heroclix Rules and Clix Master apps for Android are incredibly useful tools for in game use and team building respectively. What type of app did you have in mind?

Surprisingly, I hear this a lot.

Surprisingly, I am the reverse. After spending two years getting royally screwed by Windows, I left for a company I knew was going to have a product that would last as long as my contract does.

Have you seen that Nokia Lumia 1020 commercial where all the parents are jockeying for the best spot from which to take pictures of their kids at a school play? But none of them can get a decent picture on their ickPhone?
Well....that's me. My wife and I go to a lot of concerts and I can't tell you how many times I've tried to take pictures at shows only to have them come out completely unrecognizable. In fact, other concert goers using Androids and Windows phones get much, much pictures. Usually, I can see their view of the concert better on their phones, from 10 feet away, than I can on my crappy iphone.
There are many other reasons I wanna ditch this phone including the fact that I hate iTunes! I refuse to load iTunes on my new Windows 8 machine so I'm stuck listening to the songs I currently have on my iphone until I can UPgrade. (Fortunately that comes to about 1800 songs, so I'm good. )

I have seen those commercials. Most of the pictures that I take are simple close range still shots, so that hasn't given me problems before. Since I use my phone most for email and internet and apps--and don't have an issue with iTunes--my iphone will suit me until it breaks. Unlike my Windows phone which lost all support less than 4 months after the start of my two years contract, leaving me stuck with a phone who's best feature was the ability to broadcast it's signal as wifi for my iPod touch to use for everything but actual calls!

Got a Nokia 928 about 6 months ago. Everything about the phone, except the availability of apps, is better than the 2 Samsung Android phones I used to have. I'm not sure I would like Windows 8 on a desktop, it's ideal for the phone. The 928 syncs seamlessly with my Windows 7 desktop.
As far as your question, I'm not sure what an app for Heroclix would be useful for. If it was a rules tomb (players guide, TA, PAC, etc..) I would use it. I'm not sure that I would for anything else.
Heck, I would love an Android app that worked as well as the iApp for clix. Though, I would love even more if Battle Planner went to an Android app. That would make me the happiest
