RPSC: Future Foundation #1 - "Whatever Happened to the Fantastic Four?"
Hey, guys. My name's She-Hulk but you can call me Jen. Once upon a time, I got a blood transfusion from my cousin. Turned out he had radioactive rage blood that turned him into a giant green monster. I got a portion of his powers. I'm not as strong as him but I'm a lot more charming and a lot cuter. Not too shabby. I work for the law firm of Ellis, Reilly and Withers and up until recently, I was one of Earth's mightiest.
Anyways, I've been couch surfing at the Baxter Building ever since the Masters of Evil laid siege to Avengers Mansion during the big Doom's Day crossover. I don't really feel like getting into the details but if you want, you can read if for yourself in Avengers Annual 3, Avengers Under Siege Special and West Coast Avengers #21. Melkhor never did get around for writing an ending for the special but that's probably for the best. That story's not really any of your business.
So the Baxter Building is nice. Good view. Big "4" on the side. Kinda empty, though. It's just me, one year old Franklin Richards and H.E.R.B.I.E. the robot babysitter. No idea what H.E.R.B.I.E. stands for but thank God he can change diapers. Where are little Franklin's parents? Heck if I know. It'll probably take at least an issue or two to find any of them.
Well, I suppose we should get this show on the road. Thanks for reading.

Peter Parker swung through the city looking for trouble. This morning, for a change, there didn't seem to be anything going on. No sign of what was left of Doc Ock's loony brigade. No bank robbers. No drive by shootings. No evil mutants. No robot armies. (No robot sleavies.) Just a man web-slinging around town in his not particularly well insulated spandex, wasting web fluid and wishing he had worn a jacket.
Not that there hadn't been plenty of newsworthy fights between costumed idiots in New York, lately. The Heroes for Hire had been butting heads with the Sinister Six, the Kingpin's criminal empire and the Black Tarantula's ninja cult...whatever. Heroes for Hire. Yuck. Pete had been down that road once before and that hadn't turned out well for anybody. With great power yada yada. Not these guys, though. Hercules tears a street light out of the ground to use as a baseball bat, the Punisher redecorates a city block with brand new bullet holes, and all the Daily Bugle has to say is "Spider-Man - Common Crook or Menace?"
Ideology and popularity aside, H4H had caused a ton of headache for the wall crawler and they were damn lucky they had set up shop where he happened to work. Peter was constantly following up on their botched missions. Ninjas kicked your butt down by the docks? I guess I'll just have to track them down for you. You guys decided to beat up Bullseye, Tombstone and the Owl before letting them go with a slap on the wrist? Good thing your friendly neighborhood Spider-Man was there to keep them from murdering that store clerk they decided to take out their anger on. Doc Ock gave you a spanking and sent you running home to the Bugle? Don't get up. I'll handle it. Animal themed bad guys are my specialty.
That last one hadn't worked out so well. While Pete was across town, kicking down their door, the Sinister Six had followed H4H back to the Daily Bugle. Some other photographer got a front row seat to watch the resulting brawl with a bonus screening of Scorpion slapping Jonah Jameson around. Which he totally deserved.
Old JJJ had it out for the web head but his editor-in-chief, Robbie Robertson, didn't share his bias. With Jonah in the hospital (and probably too doped up on pain meds to worry about the Bugle), this was Pete's best chance to put pictures of Spider-Man in the paper without speculation about how he was probably in cahoots with whatever bad guy he was beating up. Of course, if Pete wanted to help his image (and pay his rent), he'd need to find something heroic to do, first.
With no luck finding something on his own, Peter decided to try a different method of hunting down wrongs to right. If he knew one person who was all about being heroic, it was Captain America. But Pete didn't know Cap very well so he moved on to the next most heroic people he could think of, the Fantastic Four. If most of the sinister animal bad guys were in jail, maybe the FF would let him borrow Mole Man. He entered the Baxter Building through the rooftop entrance. It wasn't until he entered the kitchen that he found one of the Fantastic Four, reading the newspaper at the breakfast table.
"Hey Sue," Pete said. "Is Johnny ar-" the newspaper lowered, revealing a mousy looking brunette in glasses and a business suit at least three sizes too big. "You're not Sue."
"How nice of you to notice," the woman said, going back to her copy of the Bugle. "Mrs. Richards and her brother are not in."
"Ah." Pete nodded a few times. "And the other two?"
"Also not in."
So much for that idea. He decided he might as well grab some breakfast, make sure the trip wasn't wasted. "You know, I wouldn't believe everything you read in the newspaper," he said, opening the refrigerator and taking a glance inside. "There's a clear conservative bias that the Bugle just can't seem to get away from. Honestly, I think people should mostly stick to the funnies and the sports page."
"So they won't read about your latest super villain team up?" the woman asked, not looking up. "Seeing how often you turn on your accomplices and leave them webbed up for the police, I wouldn't help you rob a bank."
"Well," Pete replied, pouring himself a glass of milk. "That makes you smarter than Electro, Miss..."
The mousy woman turned to look at him. She lowered her head and her eyes opened wider as if she expected him to say something. Finally, she let out a sigh. "You really don't remember me."
"Suuuuure I do." Spidey left it at that, pulling up his mask a bit to take a drink of milk.
"Jennifer Walters."
"I was just about to say that."
"No you weren't."
"No, I wasn't," he admitted, snagging a loaf of bread off the counter and looking around for a toaster. "You're...what? The Fantastic Four's accountant?"
"You know, it's really unprofessional not to remember people you've worked with."
"Look, if you're one of the X-Men, I honestly can't tell you guys apart." She said something but Pete wasn't paying attention any more. How many settings did Reid need on his toaster? There were like twenty buttons on this thing. "That's not racist, is it?"
"Don't try to change the subject," Jen snapped.
"I mean, some of my best friends are mutants."
A heavy tingling sensation went through the back of Pete's mind. The woman slammed her hands down on the table.
"BE. QUIET." Her suit no longer looked so big on her and her eyes had turned a deep green. When Spidey didn't say anything, she continued. "I am She-Hulk! I am an Avenger! I have personally saved this city three times and you will..." she backed away from the table. "I am so sorry. I didn't mean to go off on you like that. I've just been so on edge lately."
"You're She-Hulk," he said, leaning on the counter. "The Avenger."
She smiled and let out a breath. "Yeah. That's me." Peter facepalmed. "What?"
"I'm at the wrong headquarters." Toast or no toast, it was time to leave psycho lady and get back to work. "Tell Captain America I said hi."
The crazy lady's eyes went wide. "Doom," she whispered.
"Well you're certainly dramatic enough to be an Av" Peter turned around to find himself looking right into a pair of blue eyes behind a steel mask. Oh. That Doom. "Wrong headquarters, Doc."
The tingling in his head came back with a vengeance. Almost involuntarily, he leapt up and away from Doom, tucking his legs in and flipping backwards to avoid Jennifer charging below him.
Before, she had been a buck twenty of skin and bones. In the time it took to cross the room, Jen grew into a three hundred pounds of green muscle and rage. She swung her fist at Doom, nailing him in the chest and sending him to the ground. Before he could recover, she grabbed him by his cloak with her left hand and planted an uppercut into his chin with her right, causing his helmet to leave a dent in the ceiling. She caught him by his legs as he fell, swung him around and tossed him through the window and out of the building.
"Um...She-Hulk?" Pete asked, backing away from the ever growing group of Dr. Dooms that were teleporting into the kitchen. "Little help?"
Jen smiled. "Doombots. I love smashing Doombots."

Dr. Doom let out a low, metallic chuckle as his Doombots escorted him into the kitchen. "Come out and play, Richards. You're wasting your time trying to hide from your intellectual superior!"
1. Dr. Doom moves to I17.
2. Doombot 5953 moves to I16.
Dr. Doom will Mastermind the highest damage he takes to Doombot 5953.
EDIT: I realized that Doombot 5953 wouldn't have been able to move without rolling for break-away. I did a second roll, and I think he got it on a 4. (Stupid brain isn't working at all...)
Doombot 5953 breaks away from She-Hulk and will move to I17. He takes 1 click for pushing.
Dr. Doom perplexes up his damage and attempts to shoot at She-Hulk, making the shot with a 7. She-Hulk takes 3 after Toughness.
Dr. Doom will Mastermind damage he takes on to Doombot 5953.
Doombot 3095 clears.
