Bring On the Bad Guys is a series of games focusing on our beloved ne'er do wells. Simple premise is that villains preemptively attack the good guys and capture them. The series is proposed to go on for a year however if the villains lose twice in a row, the game goes to the final match: Breakout. More on that in a moment.
Villains Roster:
The villains will always consist of a 13 member roster. There will be frequent changes in the roster which I'll get to in a moment. 12 of the figures are regular selections the 13th is a generic set of figures which will constantly change. Any version of the villain may appear in various games, if Kang were chosen one game could have Kang IC Rookie, the next Nathaniel Richards and then next Doom and Kang, all legit. There will always be a leader and co-leader in the group and every battle must contain one of the other. Not every character will appear in every battle.
The Leader gets to use pc, outwit or perplex (player's choice done at the beginning of the game and is allowed to use the results of the event roll as can another character) and the Co-Leader can use pc, outwit or perplex in their initial slot, player must choose at the beginning of the game.
The villains roster will change under a few circumstances:
-If a villain was koed during the game a single villain can be replaced in the next game
-If the 'Expendable' event was used
-Any time generics are used, they are swapped out the next game for new generics.
-If villains win over heroes they may use a slot for a villainous version of a hero from the prior battle (for 1 turn)
Villains Advantages:
In the first three games the villains will have the following advantages:
-The villains will have initiative and map choice
-The heroes will reveal their roster first
Prior to each turn the villains roll a 6 sided die:
1) Give + 1 attack to any villain
2) Give + 1 damage to any villain
3) Give + 1 speed to any villain
4) Nothing happens
5) Heroes get a + 1 dv to any character of their choice
6) Heroes get a + 1 dv to all characters
Note: only the villains get to roll this.
Once per game, the villains can sacrifice any character who has more than half of his dial remaining for the event Expendable. This kos the character and guarantees a hit for an attack. (Note: only a hit is guaranteed, not a ko).
Twice during the series, the Villains can choose to abandon the game, avoiding an outright loss.
After the third game the villain's advantages will lessen. Also at that point whenever the villains roll a 2 or 12 there is an event called Uprising! where the leader and co-leader each roll a pair of die. The higher die remains in the game and is (or becomes) leader, the lower rolling figure is out of the game. This will necessitate immediately electing a new co-leader.
The final game will be called Break Out, including a sub-set of heroes captured within the game against the current roster of villains.
The heroes roster will be different in every game. Groups that are defeated are captured and segments of each game will be a part of the Break Out. When a hero is used and captured, he may not be used again until Break Out. At that time, as with the villains, any version of that character may be used.
The first game against the Fantastic Four ended in a near defeat for the villains, but ultimately was called a draw.
The second game proved an easy defeat of the Metal Men.
X-Factor managed to turn around a near certain defeat and beat the bad guys.
The villains, after a rocky start, overcame the Birds of Prey
For this round, we up the ante, and the bad guys are up against the Uncanny Avengers

'You will regret this Luthor! I will have my revenge!" Dr. Doom said. Vandal Savage held the Lord of Latveria in an inescapable wrestling hold. Baron Mordo maintained the spell that kept Doom's armor's energy drained.
"I don't think so, Doctor," Luthor said. "This group hasn't failed to notice than when you lead in the field, we tend to get our butts handed to us, whereas when I lead, we are victorious. You're through. Give my regards to General Zod when you get to the Phantom Zone." Dr. Octopus activated the portal and Savage tossed Doom through it.
"Noooo!" Doom raged as he faded away.
"Now, ladies and gentlemen," Luthor continued, "we are moving the timetable ahead. We are no longer wasting time on nobodies like the Metal Men and X-Factor."
"Fine by me," Deathstroke said. "Who's next?"
"The Uncanny Avengers," Luthor said.
"Excellent," the newly recruited Klaw said, "bring them on."
"And that battle friend Volstagg, is what is known as the Gods of Arkham," Thor says.
* See upcoming thread for more on Thor's adventure, true believers!
"What a tale, Thor. Surely the sirens of Midgard are singing of it this day!" Volstagg says.
Beep beep. Thor looks to his pocket. "Sorry my friend, I must make haste."
"Is Asgard in danger? Shall I join thee?".
"Nay, tis a concern for the mighty Avengers."
Coney Island.
"Here you go Wanda, a veggie burger and fries," Wonder Man says bringing snacks to the Scarlet Witch.
"Thanks, Simon," she replies.
"You know, I thought bringing you to the boardwalk would cheer you up."
"Sorry," she replies, "The Vision still won't talk to me and half of the Avengers mistrust me. The road to redemption isn't easy."
"Cheer up, Wanda," the Wasp and Sunfire say as they approach her. "I trust you, Simon does and Cap does...the others will get there. Meanwhile look what Sunfire brought you. I remember how much you like soft ice cream on a cone."
Sunfire hands her a semi-melted cone.
"Sunfire!" Janet says, hands on hips.
"Hey, you trust the guy with fire powers to carry an ice cream cone. That's on you," he replies.
Beep beep.
"Scarlet Witch here Alex, what's up?".
"We have an emergency. Can you meet at the mansion?" Havok asks.
"You bet we can!" Wasp replies.
Avengers mansion.
"You really need a Danger Room," Rogue says standing opposite Captain America.
"We get by," Cap replies, "Now you remember the object of the game."
"Yeah...I need to reach you and absorb your abilities. Cakewalk, shugah," she says.
Cap grins. "Ready?".
"One, two...".
Cap leaps into the air and Rogue totally flies by him.
"Hey!" she yells.
"Did you expect me to stand still? Would Sebastian Shaw do that?".
"Ah'm better'n Shaw," Rogue says thrusting in. She's blocked by his shield.
"You don't play fair Cap'n," she says flicking away his shield.
She pulls him close and moves in to kiss him. "Let me claim mah victory, shugah." His shield, predictably, comes back and hits Rogue in the back of the head; stunning her.
"Rookie move, kiddo," Wolverine says. "I guess I was wrong. I owe you the beer, Steve."
"Milk will be fine."
Rogue pushes Logan. "You made a bet on me?".
Beep beep.
"Captain America here."
"It's Havok. Me and X-Factor ran into a rogue group of villains with a terrible plan. We need to get them before they get far. I need the Avengers Unity Squad together now."
Mordo will taxi Deathstroke. Mordo to C17, C18 for Deathstroke. Man, the numbers are hard to read on this map. And the Terrain too. That is a chunk of blocking they're behind.
Just realized how distinctly short of flyers I am this game.
Alchemy to D20
Enchantress to L21
Luthor to I18
Cheetah to B17
Klaw to M19
Octopus to H18
Octopus Perplexes his DV up by +3, Enchantress Perplexes her own to 18.
"Thor. Interesting. I've always wanted to kill a god," Deathstroke said.
"You'll have your chance," Luthor told him.
"If we're choosing opponents, I should take the Scarlet Witch," Baron Mordo said. "Only my magic will be a match for hers."
"You are not the only sorcerer here, Mordo," Enchantress reminded him. "I've been practicing magic since before your ancestors going back fifty generations were born."
"You don't look a day over 48 generations, my dear," Mordo snapped back. "And when I want Thor to fall in love with me I will give you a call, but when it comes to battle..."
"Enough!" Luthor said. "Save it for the real enemy. Them."
I get a 1 for event, but I don't think I'm ready to use it just yet.
Luthor to I17
Octopus to H17
Enchantress to I18
Alchemy to A17
Cheetah to A16
Mordo to B16, bringing Deathstroke to B17
Octopus Perplexes his DV up by 3. Enchantress Perplexes her own up +1. And in case I forget, can I just say that they continue to do so until I specify otherwise?
