Ok we have a great divide on which is better. Hair 10 leads the X-Wing people with csi on the other side. So, without screaming at each other, what would you do to improve in the other game to make it more playable?
What would you add or remove that might make the game that much more playable for your needs?
Oh and if your response if "I like "A" better so "b" sucks" please don't add anything if you feel the need to bash.

I am absolutely not on the other side. I think both games are great, however I prefer the Attack Wing game because I love Star Trek a lot more then Star Wars. I got into X-Wing before Attack Wing came out and very much enjoyed it. Both games have their positives and negatives. X-Wing has a much more casual tournament scene and much better detail and scale of their models. Attack Wing has a lot more variation and thus is more challenging in my opinion. It also has poorer quality models in both paint and scale. Its tournament scene will undoubtedly be more cut-throat because of the value of the LE ships they are offering.
I have nothing against X-wing at all and would still play it if I had the time to play two games. I just found Hair's ridiculous bashing of Attack Wing game because he got trashed in the one game he played too over the top not to respond.
Curious. What's "unplayable" about either game? They both use the exact same rules with some slight differences. Aren't they both "playable"? I haven't found either rules set to be hard to understand.

Really the only thing I would do is restructure the LE system in attack wing. Dice/Upgrades/Crew/Whatever is fine. Having $60 ships is aggravating for people that can't get venues on board.

Agree. Maybe take it a step further and have a pack with all resources/LEs for sale 6 months or so after release for the new players who can't get to a venue or just started out.
With all the LEs and resources out in such short time, I feel kinna bad for a new player who can't just grab the dice or command cards or whatever the heck comes out during the OP. Forget the LEs, those can change things up quite a bit too, and while there are more out there, they are still a secondary market item the second the judge or store runs out.
The whole LE 'thing'.
Being able to swap captains/crew on ships. It's just begging for min/maxing.
Mixing factions. At the very least, there should be a stiff penalty for mixing factions.
The whole LE 'thing'.
There are 542,000 children in foster care. Talk to your local foster and adoptive agency. You could change a life.

Yeah that's definitely an issue too, but you can at least ignore some of the tokens and stuff if you aren't playing competitive. For the ships though it sucks even more because people just can't get them
Ah well here's hoping I can get it off the ground in my area.
If I had the money to force game companies to do things my way:
X-Wing
I would NOT tie certain figures to other products. I would play Jek. I would not play the huge capital ships.
Add more dice to your starter.
Allow cross faction/alternate cards/templates for some ships. I see no reason why the Empire cannot hire a Smuggler and the Alliance cannot hire a Mercenary. Heck, I'd like to see Fel and Wedge fly side by side. They were both in Rogue Squadron during the New Republic era (and brother-in-laws to boot).
Attack Wing
LE ships (or at least the cards) need to be released in future expansions.
Add more dice to your starter.
Stiffer penalty to cross-faction builds (at least I can curb this at my own venue with the player bases' blessing)
So basically: cram both games together, add more dice, and I'd be set.

So far DS you have exactly my same list.
The LE cards should be released in future sets. We are getting Advanced Weapon Systems in the next Klingon Xpansion, so that does lead me to believe they will include some of them in future packs.
After playing Attack Wing, I do like the ability to have "Captains" for each ship, and I think that would be a great thing to introduce in Star Wars, maybe have card/cardboard packs that can give the existing ships upgrades.

Not to sure but there are things that others find unpalatable and I want to know what the factors are.

I do believe that at some point all LE upgrades are going to find their way into ships. They can test which things people are dying for with the LE upgrades and then put them on other ships that people may or may not want down the road. I can almost guarantee that barrage of fire wil show up elsewhere.

That would be cool too. If only someone had thought of doing something about it I would give them some cash. :D

There is nothing unplayable about either game. They both play very well.

I do agree with most of the above though. I would like to see some Fringe pilots in X-Wing that could fight for either side.
I would prefer to see a lot more control in the cross-faction assignment in Attack Wing.
I hope there will be an easier way to get the LE ships for Attack Wing, or at least have more unique options for those ship classes available, and access to most of the upgrades. I think the LEs will be less of an issue in 2-3 years based on what I expect will be WK's release schedule, but I'd like to play (for example) a couple named Klingon BoPs sooner than a couple years down the line!

I will probably be in the minority here but....I wouldn't change either. They each have a distinct feel and I wouldn't want that to change. Right now they feel like different games. Let's keep it that way.

That I agree with completely - I love the way they both play.
I just wish attack wing was a little less wizkidsy
