Me and my friends have always played that when a figure receives damage you click its base immediately, before it gets knockbacked and receives any additional damage by being knocked into a wall.Is this correct? I would prefer for a judge to rule on this issue.
"I was raised a warrior.I choose battles I believe to be just." - Duncan MacLeod , 1815
"Who would I be if Connor MacLeod had never found me?"- Duncan MacLeod
the figure would get knocked back (into the wall if applicable) before any damage is actually clicked. Ex: Hulk in his prime (5 damage) is attacking Thing and rolls (4) (4). a hit generating knockback. Thing would take 3 damage (5 - 2 from invulnerability) and would go back 3 spaces since that's all the damage that he suffers. After 2 spaces Thing runs into a wall, adding a fourth click (which would really be 6, but alas invulnerability) of damage. All 4 damage is applied after the new placement because of knockback. Invulnerability, Toughness and Impervious do not cancel knockback damage, they would just reduce the spaces knocked back due to the reduction of initial damage.
I am a judge though my HCRealms account doesn't specify. You can look me up on WizKids under Cartman_st if you like.

From the Marvel rulebook, page 14:
"Super powers that reduce damage (such as Toughness and Invulnerability) reduce knockback damage."
What can this sentence mean, if, as you say, knockback adds to the original damage caused?
You have already taken enough damage to override toughness and/or invulnerability {otherwise you wouldn't be knocked back in the first place}, so in what way would those powers ever be able to reduce knockback *damage*?
I just looked it up myself... the only case I can think of that the part you quoted would be if someone used Force-Blast to knock someone with Toughness into a wall or Invulnerability off a building.
I will look into this further in the faq's and on the Judge's forum on WizKids site for you... good question by the way!
