This happened tonight....

Two 110 point teams (Admiral Orders) battled it out.

The Federation player lost his 36 point Excelsior. The Federation player used all 5 Command Token resources.

The Klingon player lost his 37 point Bird of Prey. On the Bird of Prey was Martok with Barrage of Fire. The Klingon player used and discarded Barrage of Fire.

Game was called for time. Does the Barrage of Fire count towards Fed fleet points?
Does command tokens count towards Klingon points? Ultimately...who won the game?

Command Tokens wouldn't count unless the entire Fleet/team was destroyed. They aren't assigned to an individual ship.

Not sure about Barrage of Fire...but if it was on a ship that was destroyed, I would think it would count as points for the Fed player.

If they were exactly at 110, and the Fed player lost 36 points and the Klingon player lost 37, then the Fed player won by one point.

You only count resources if you take the entire force.

Once a card is "discarded" it goes underneath the ship it is assigned to and only counted for points when that ship is destroyed.

Hope that clears up any scoring issue.

I guess it balances the cost of some of those discard cards.

Originally, I thought it worked like Protected. Use it and the opponent scores 8 points. But if STAW did that it would kill the value of those 5 point discard effects.
