I'm somewhat newer to playing heroclix (a little over 1 year) so please forgive me if this is a dumb question.
I'm getting held up on the wording for Defend.
"Any adjacent character may replace it's defense value with this characters unmodified defense value"
Because it seems to me "Any" implies more than one adjacent character? However the plural form "characters" is not used. (This bugs me)
Furthermore, if this power was intended to specify one singular character as the benefactor... then defining it "An" instead of "Any" adjacent character, Or vice versa "their" instead of "it's" defense, would make things much more clear.
Unless this is a double entendre, I am thinking this wording is a "plural count noun". as in "The meek shall inherit the Earth", where in "the meek" means "those who are meek" or "all who are meek".
Thus "Any" could mean "All" (characters) who are adjacent.
Some of the friends I play with disagree, saying: "Thor cannot defend every single character around him unless they all have the defenders team ability, you have to choose one"
"Axiom" means something like "a self-evident truth". Might want to change your thread title so that people know you're asking a question. I came here thinking you had some sort of metaphysical or philosophical wisdom to share.
