Greetings HeroClix players. ROC is excited to announce "Campaign Events", a brand new kit that is available for purchase by stores for play in the TCGPlayer.com Realms Open Championship.
Our latest kit is meant to work directly with ROC Super Qualifiers. Players can compete for points and prizes at this event and earn ROC rankings. These events must be attached to a ROC Super Qualifier Event and must follow the Final 16 Format of the Super Qualifier that it is attached to. Winners will receive paid entry (paid by the Campaign Event host) and a first round bye at the Super Qualifier. These kits are priced economical and targeted for a tournament size of 8-12+ players.
It is an addition. Its purpose was to create ROC feeder events to Super Qualifiers and to be economical to the venue.
Got it. Now, is this limited to one feeder per super qualifier? You said it "must be attached to" the super qualifier event. Could any old venue send somebody into the super qualifier with a bye? Is there a limit to how many byes attained this way?

Its unlimited and yes its available for all venues but those venues must be attached to a Super Qualifier. It is a tool for Super Qualifiers to build its player base and create excitement. It is also a good way for venues to support each other and build a community.
We used Patricks' working model at Majestix in California to develop our own feeder events.

A Super Q can hold its own trials without buying this kit though, correct?
I really don't see why a venue would need to pay for the entry seperate. They don't in Pat's model and, to be honest, that prize kit plus the players entry doesn't really seem fitting to the cost. Is there no way that the winners entry can be included in the cost of the kit? I think it could be.
This would be hard to do since the SQ and venues have to purchase the kits from TCG player. In order for this to work the SQ would have to be the ones selling or offering the campaign kits to the venues, that's why Pat's model works well for him, it's Majestix/SQ offering the kits to get a return from it. I think your on right track Howard but you would have to reconfigure the kits to where the feeder kit is coming from the SQ sponsoring it.
