I am not sure how much info is out there. I do know of the two in Preveiws/GAme Trader and what little info abotu new energy and two places to attack but what else can it do?
Since this is speculation and not complete hard fact what other large ships do you think they will be making? I am figuring at least 1 if not 2 kinds of Star Destroyers because they are obvious but what about the medical frigate? Likely at all? Do you think they will grab older ships from the Prequels? Will they mix up the Sepertists and Old Republic into the mix? That could add two new factions and that might be nice.
Also I would love a Happan Battle Wagon.

I hope they go into the prequel for ship ideas. Depending on the ship, they could still stick to the two sides. Naboo fighters would be Rebelion and Droid stuff could be Empire. The idea of having the Chiss and the Hapes Nova vessels in the game would be rather neat. To make that idea work, the Alliance/Empire theme would have to be changed to Light/Dark. I also want to see some neutral bounty hunters and space pirates.
The sister, separate but compatable Prequel game is a ways off. Especially with Rebels, the Sequel Trilogy, and FFG still have a bit of an issue keeping up with the demand for the current game.
As for the Capital ships for X-wing, I foresee them going up to at least the size of a Nebula B Frigate. Not entirely sure how much bigger than that they will do. I have to wait and see the size of the Epic playfield to get a better handle of what the new formats will bring. Imperials sadly don't have much in terms of variety. I do believe we will get an out of scale Star Destroyer. No matter how much money it will cost.
I like the capitol ship idea, but the scales will have to be way off. If the corvette is 12 inches like most people have speculated, then an Imperial class star destroyer will have to be over 10 feet long to maintain scale with the corvette.
Looking at wookieepedia, an X wing is 12.5 meters long, a corvette is 150 m, and an Imp class star destroyer is 1600 m.
How long is the x wing in the game? 2 inches? If that is true, a Imp Star Destroyer would be 21 feet long to scale with the x wing ship
FFG is not maintaining a rigid scale for the Capital ships. I suspect they won't go much larger than a Nebulan B Frigate. Even a massively out of scale Star Destroyer will be huge, and is likely the only ship that would be profitable enough for them to do.
The standard and Large ships (Falcon, Slave I, Shuttle) are all in scale. Though you do get some debate about whether they used proper sizes in some ships.
The Medium Transport and Corellian Corvette are not in the same scale. Though the scale experts seem to say that they are not that far off.

Do you and I know these "scale experts" from another time and another place?
I don't believe so. It is mainly Boardgamegeek people.
And I call them scale experts, because they figured out the rough scale based on the images we have, since no actual figures have really been released yet, I believe.
There's been an ongoing thing about the scale of the A-wing too.
In regards to capital ships, rather than to see them in their entirety (I believe scale wise these come out to a hundred feet or so) I'd like to see sections of them for sale with turrets on them. Just use them as the edge of the playing surface and have them do their thing. Really there's no need for them to ever move if they're representing part of a capital ship.

Bingo, I will wait them out, and see how they are before I pass final judgment, but with so little X-Wing around this area, it's hard to say get these huge ships.

I'll be honest, if the transport ship didn't come with Porkins I might not give it a second look, and if the Corellian Corvette wasn't sporting campaign rules I wouldn't buy it either.
I guess I'm lucky to have the small play-it-at-home playgroup, so I'm pretty excited for the campaign rules.
Just have to figure out where to put these lumbering beasts....
Though the Cinematic play (ie campaign rules) will be with the Transport as well. As well as online (but not the actual scenarios). I do wonder if they will release other scenarios for Cinematic play through their Print on Demand system.
As for where to put them, display them. The Corvette especially is amazingly beautiful.
At first i was reluctant with the idea of capital ships.
But now that we have more info on the execution of it, i will say i'm enthousiastic
FFG doesn't disapoint for now
