I am a new player and I'm playing my first match.
I wanted to know if with the power 'No More Mutant' (avx006 Scarlet Witch) i can cancel the Power Cosmic TA.

Yes, it will prevent the character from being able to use Power Cosmic.

No More Mutants does not cancel Power Cosmic.

No More Mutants Once per game, give Scarlet Witch a double power action and choose a team ability. Any other character that can use that team ability must roll a d6 that can’t be rerolled and if the result is [1] -[5] , that character can’t use the chosen team ability for the rest of the game.

It just says you can't use the chosen team ability, which will work with Power Cosmic.

Also as a Note:

Power Cosmic Characters using the Power Cosmic team ability can use Willpower and their powers can’t be countered. Uncopyable.

Power Cosmic only prevents Powers from being countered, so if you have an ability that counters Team Abilities (but specifically doesn't say as if they were powers) then you can counter Power Cosmic.

That really confuses me. Are you saying that if it cancels Power Cosmic that you still get Willpower? I don't understand how that is possible...

No, if you counter Power Cosmic, then they will not get the Willpower granted by it.

I'd wager it's somewhere between where the OP asked if No More Mutants could cancel Power Cosmic, and where you clarified that NMM doesn't cancel anything, and then further mentioned that PC isn't itself uncounterable.

It's a subtle, yet crucial, distinction that could easily confuse people.

Yeah it was just the wording.

What if Scarlet Witch chooses Power Cosmic and the roll fails and the figure can no longer use it. But later in the game, another effect (i.e Book of Skull) gives it the Power Cosmic. Can the figure use the newly given PC or will No More Mutants stop that because of the "rest of the Game" part of the power? This came up in a game recently.

It's still the same team ability, so the character still can't use it.

But in your example the character could use Power Cosmic at the time NMM was used.

It doesn't matter if he gains Power Cosmic from another source because he still possess the Team Ability he just can't use it.
